The Genomic Structure of Human Olfactory Receptor Genes
The genomic and cDNA structures were studied for eight human olfactory receptor (OR) genes within the chromosome 17p13.3 cluster. A common gene structure was revealed, which included an approximately 1-kb intronless coding region terminated by a signal for polyadenylation and a variable number of upstream noncoding exons.

Targeting the PDK1/c‐Myc/SOX10 Signaling in Oligodendrocytes Alleviates Neuropathic Pain
This work reveals that oligodendrocyte homeostasis, mediated by PDK1, is a critical determinant of neuropathic pain (NPP) pathogenesis. Disruption of PDK1 in oligodendrocytes impairs SOX10‐dependent myelination programs through c‐Myc accumulation, leading to disrupted myelination and the pathophysiology of NPP.

CHIN117 is a dual cysteinyl leukotriene receptor 1 (CYSLTR1) antagonist and G‐protein‐coupled bile acid receptor 1 (GPBAR1) agonist. In the liver, GPBAR1 and CYSLTR1 are coexpressed by liver sinusoidal endothelial cells (LSECs), HSCs, circulating monocytes/macrophages, and liver resident macrophages (Kupffer cells).

The V5A13.1 envelope glycoprotein deletion mutant of mouse hepatitis virus type-4 is neuroattenuated by its reduced rate of spread in the central nervous system. [PDF]
Following intracerebral inoculation of adult Balb/c Byj mice, the MHV-4 strain of mouse hepatitis virus (MHV) had an LD50 of less than 0.1 PFU, whereas its monoclonal antibody resistant variant V5A13.1 had an LD50 of 10(4.2) PFU.

GPCRs in CAR‐T Cell Immunotherapy: Expanding the Target Landscape and Enhancing Therapeutic Efficacy
Chimeric antigen receptor T cell therapy faces dual challenges of target scarcity and an immunosuppressive microenvironment in solid tumors. This review highlights how G protein‐coupled receptors can serve as both novel targets to expand the therapeutic scope and functional modules to enhance CAR‐T cell efficacy.

Odorant receptor genes are expressed in olfactory neuroblastoma
Olfactory neuroblastoma (ONB) is a malignant tumor found in the human nasal cavity. These tumors are rare and poorly characterized at the molecular level. In this study, we asked whether olfactory-specific genes are expressed in ONBs by using reverse-transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction.

Transcriptome sequencing of olfactory-related genes in olfactory transduction of large yellow croaker (Larimichthy crocea) in response to bile salts [PDF]
Fish produce and release bile salts as chemical signalling substances that act as sensitive olfactory stimuli. To investigate how bile salts affect olfactory signal transduction in large yellow croaker (Larimichthy crocea), deep sequencing of olfactory ...

A zebrafish model carrying an identical human RHO S334X allele reveals two independent genetic layers shaping retinitis pigmentosa (RP) severity: a protective 3‐bp cis‐regulatory insertion that attenuates transgene expression, and a dominant trans‐acting modifier that restores a severe phenotype.

Mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) show promise for treating immune‐related disorders through immunomodulation and tissue regeneration. This review gives a brief overview of current clinical approval of MSC therapies. It also discussed how bioengineering, including genetic modification, biomaterial delivery, extracellular vesicles, and iPSC‐derived MSCs,
