Detection of Protein Aggregates in Brain and Cerebrospinal Fluid Derived from Multiple Sclerosis Patients [PDF]
Studies of the properties of soluble oligomers species of amyloidogenic proteins, derived from different proteins with little sequence homology, have indicated that they share a common structure and may share similar pathogenic mechanisms. Amyloid β, tau

Interlaboratory Reproducibility of Isoelectric Focusing in Oligoclonal Band Detection [PDF]
Current criteria for the diagnosis of multiple sclerosis (MS), an inflammatory neurological disease commonly affecting young adults, include cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) analysis to detect oligoclonal IgG bands (OCB) (1). CSF analysis methods vary substantially, however, and experts in MS and CSF diagnostic techniques addressed the need for ...

Relapses, Comorbidities, and Predictors of Outcome in Anti‐GABAA Receptor Encephalitis
Objectives To characterize the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) lesion dynamics, comorbidities, predictors of relapse, and outcomes in anti‐γ‐aminobutyric acid type A receptor (GABAAR) encephalitis, and assess the utility of LIM‐domain‐only‐protein 5 (LMO5) antibodies as tumor markers.

What does an isolated cerebrospinal fluid band mean: a tertiary centre experience
Introduction: The presence of oligoclonal bands in cerebrospinal fluid of multiple sclerosis patients is now well established to support the clinical diagnosis. On the other hand, a single band response can represent the initial stage of an oligoclonal

T cells, the next big target in axSpA?
Axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA) is a chronic inflammatory disease characterized by complex immune dysregulation, with T cells playing a central role in its pathogenesis. In this review we synthesize current knowledge on diverse T cell subsets in axSpA, their pathogenic mechanisms, and emerging therapeutic strategies targeting these cells.

Juvenile Mycosis Fungoides: A Multicenter Retrospective Italian Study
This multicenter retrospective study included 29 juvenile mycosis fungoides (JMF) patients from five Italian centres with confirmed histopathological diagnosis. most often presents with hypopigmented/classic variants and CD8+ phenotype. Early‐onset cases ( < 14 years) show better long‐term outcomes.
