Relationship of Dye Adsorption Onto Biomass Activated Carbon Mixed Matrix Ultrafiltration: A Mass Transfer Model Study

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This study explored dye molecule adsorption from water, focusing on activated carbon in polymer membranes for purifying low‐quality water. Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) membranes showed enhanced removal efficiency of methylene blue (MB) from 89.29% to 98.33% with biomass‐activated carbon (BAC).

Effect of drought stress on qualitative characteristics of olive oil of cv Koroneiki

open access: yesGrasas y Aceites, 2001
Quality characteristics (acidity, peroxide values, K232, K270, oxidative stability) and chemical compositional data (fatty acids, sterols and triacylglycerols) were studied in virgin olive oil samples from olive trees, cv Koroneiki, subjected to ...

Inverse scattering and solitons in $A_{n-1}$ affine Toda field theories

open access: yes, 1996
We implement the inverse scattering method in the case of the $A_n$ affine Toda field theories, by studying the space-time evolution of simple poles in the underlying loop group. We find the known single soliton solutions, as well as additional solutions

Investigation of Structural, Mechanical and Electrochemical Properties of Temperature‐Dependent Dual AlN/TiAlN Coating Synthesized by CVD Process

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This study investigates thermally CVD‐deposited AlN/TiAlN dual‐layer coatings over a Si substrate, focusing on the temperature‐dependent process‐structure relationship. Systematic characterization reveals that a dense AlN interlayer combined with an optimally deposited TiAlN top layer provides enhancement in mechanical strength, tribological stability,

Growth, photosynthesis and pollen performance in saline water treated olive plants under high temperature

open access: yesInternational Journal of Plant Biology, 2015
Olive cultivation in hot arid areas is hindered by the scarcity of irrigation water. The exploitation of saline water has been proposed as a solution to partially cover plant water demands.

Supply Chain Analysis of Olive Oil in Germany [PDF]

open access: yes
Olive oil is a typical product of the Mediterranean basin, where almost all of the world production takes place. Due to campaigns for a healthier way of living, consumption of olive oil has also increased in non Mediterranean countries in recent years ...

An Accessible Microfluidic Platform for the Generation of Polarized Brain Organoids

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This study presents an accessible double‐gradient microfluidic device that enables controlled morphogen delivery and spatially polarized differentiation in brain organoids. By integrating a pump‐free design and stable fabrication method, the platform generates dorsal–ventral neuronal asymmetry, offering a reproducible and versatile approach to model ...

Heuristically Adaptive Diffusion‐Model Evolutionary Strategy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Building on the mathematical equivalence between diffusion models and evolutionary algorithms, researchers demonstrate unprecedented control over evolutionary optimization through conditional diffusion. By training diffusion models to associate parameters with specific traits, they can guide evolution toward solutions exhibiting desired behaviors ...
