Microbiome−host proteostasis crosstalk—An emerging perspective on mechanisms and interventions toward healthy longevity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Proteostasis and the gut microbiota play a key role in shaping host physiology. Microbiota‐derived metabolites, vitamins, and RNA modulate host proteostasis. Findings from model systems, including C. elegans, indicate microbes can either stabilize or disrupt host proteostasis.

Towards robust aero-thermodynamic predictions for re-usable single-stage to orbit vehicles

open access: yes, 2012
Re-usable single stage to orbit launch vehicles promise to reduce the cost of access to space, but their success will be particularly reliant on accurate and robust modelling of their aero-thermodynamic characteristics.

On-Orbit Calibration Method for Rotation Axis Misalignment in Rotating Mirror-Based Wide-Field Space Cameras

open access: yesRemote Sensing
Rotating mirror-based space cameras are susceptible to mirror misalignment due to the severe vibrations experienced during rocket launch and the harsh, variable conditions of the space environment, which can result in deviations of the camera’s line of ...

Phosphoinositides and inositol phosphates as molecular glues

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Inositol phosphates (IPs) and phosphoinositides (PIPs) regulate diverse eukaryotic processes. Beyond recruiting signaling proteins or acting as structural cofactors, recent studies suggest they mediate protein–protein interactions as natural molecular glues.

Structural insights and therapeutic targets in Acinetobacter baumannii capsule biosynthesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Hypervirulent KL49 A. baumannii's capsular polysaccharide contains the nonulosonic acid 8‐epi‐Leg5,7Ac2, synthesized by epimerization via ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC. Crystal structures of ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC reveal their role in CMP‐Leg5,7Ac2 synthesis and regioselective C8 epimerization.

Selecting the Microwave Amplifier for the Satellite Application [PDF]

open access: yesفناوری در مهندسی هوافضا, 2018
A communications satellite is an artificial satellite that relays and amplifies radio telecommunications signals via a transponder; it creates a communication channel between a source transmitter and a receiver on different locations on Earth ...

ABL kinase‐dependent phosphorylation of SH proteins promotes their direct interaction with CRK family SH2 domains

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
CT10 regulator of kinase (CRK) and CRK‐Like (CRKL) are signaling adaptors driving cell adhesion, motility, differentiation, and proliferation. SH2‐domain containing (SH) proteins are enriched in YXXP motifs which when phosphorylated create preferred binding sites for CRK family SH2 domains.

Orbit evolution, maintenance and disposal of SpaceChip swarms

open access: yes, 2010
The combined effect of solar radiation pressure and atmospheric drag is investigated for future mission conceptsfor swarms of satellites-on-a-chip (SpaceChips). The natural evolution of the swarm is exploited to perform spatially distributed measurements
