Higher-Order Pattern Complement and the Strict λ-Calculus
We address the problem of complementing higher-order patterns without repetitions of existential variables. Differently from the first-order case, the complement of a pattern cannot, in general, be described by a pattern, or even by a finite set of ...

An unexpected alternative interaction site for ethyl viologen was identified in formate dehydrogenase 1 from Methylorubrum extorquens. Combined mutagenesis, kinetic analysis, and docking revealed that aromatic residues near an iron–sulfur cluster enable flavin mononucleotide‐independent electron transfer, offering a framework for engineering improved ...

Malliavin calculus in finance [PDF]
This article is an introduction to Malliavin Calculus for practitioners. We treat one specific application to the calculation of greeks in Finance. We consider also the kernel density method to compute greeks and an extension of the Vega index called the

Electron transfer between complexes III and IV in S. cerevisiae mitochondrial membranes
Mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation in S. cerevisiae mitoplasts is limited by complex IV catalytic capacity, rather than two‐dimensional cytochrome c diffusion. At physiological cytochrome c : supercomplex ratios at salinity equivalent to that of 20 mm monovalent salt, activity is maximized, indicating that this low ionic strength accurately mimics

Calculus Early Transcendentals Integral & Multi-Variable Calculus for Social Sciences
Based on this textbook, lecture and student notes have been created to provide 30 sets of slides for the integral calculus course. The student notes are skeleton versions of the lecture notes and come in two versions, either plain or with extra space on ...

On Artin's braid group and polyconvexity in the calculus of variations [PDF]
Let Ω ⊂ 2 be a bounded Lipschitz domain and let F : Ω × 2×2 + −→ be a Carathèodory integrand such that F (x, ·) is polyconvex for L2-a.e. x ∈ Ω. Moreover assume that F is bounded from below and satisfies the condition F (x, ξ) ∞ as det ξ 0 for L2-

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Typed polyadic pi-calculus in bigraphs
Bigraphs have been introduced with the aim to provide a topographical meta-model for mobile, distributed agents that can manipulate their own communication links and nested locations. In this paper we examine a presentation of type systems on bigraphical

In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.
