Sequentially Rejective Test Procedures for Detecting Outlying Cells in One‐ and Two‐Sample Multinomial Experiments

Biometrical Journal, 1985
AbstractFor multiple testing of multinomial models in the case of one or two samples we propose using test procedures based on the principle described by MARCUS, PERITZ and GABRIEL (1976). These methods are based in each step of the sequentially rejective strategy on tests which exhaust the full α level (i.e. which are not conservative).

No detectable analgesic effects in the formalin test even with one million bovine adrenal chromaffin cells

Pain, 2002
The present experiments were conducted to identify analgesic agents for transfection into immortalized adrenal chromaffin cell lines to maximize their analgesic potential. Analgesic agents known to be produced by adrenal chromaffin cells were infused intrathecally at a low dose (0.2 microg) which might conceivably be attained by adrenal chromaffin cell

Rank‐based test procedures for interaction in the two‐way layout with one observation per cell

Canadian Journal of Statistics, 1999
AbstractNew aligned‐rank test procedures for the composite null hypothesis of no interaction effects (without placing restrictions on the two main effects) against appropriate composite general alternatives are developed for the standard two‐way layout with a single observation per cell.

Comparison of the hamster sperm motility assay to the mouse one-cell and two-cell embryo bioassays as quality control tests for in vitro fertilization

Fertility and Sterility, 1991
The hamster sperm motility assay, mouse one-cell embryo, and mouse two-cell embryo bioassays were used to test modified Tyrode's solution and modified Ham's F-10 (Gibco, Grand Island, NY) medium prepared in tap water versus ultrapure water. Factors influencing the ability of each assay to discriminate water quality were evaluated to characterize these ...

Electrical breakdown of liquid hydrocarbons in a test cell with one rotating electrode

IEEE Transactions on Electrical Insulation, 1989
The electrical breakdown of liquid n-pentane, n-hexane, cyclo-hexane, and n-decane was investigated in a test cell with one electrode rotating. Two different electrode geometries were used: sphere-rotating sphere and sphere-rotating plane. The applied voltage was increased slowly at a constant rate until breakdown occurred.

Paper-Based All-in-One Origami Microdevice for Nucleic Acid Amplification Testing for Rapid Colorimetric Identification of Live Cells for Point-of-Care Testing

Analytical Chemistry, 2019
We report herein the colorimetric identification of live cells based on a nucleic acid amplification testing (NAAT) methodology using an all-in-one origami paper microdevice integrated with DNA purification, loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP), and on-site colorimetric detection.

The One-per-wafer ZTJ solar cell from Emcore- confidence testing and volume manufacturing performance

2012 38th IEEE Photovoltaic Specialists Conference, 2012
The Emcore One-per-wafer ZTJ solar cell, with a cell area of approximately 60cm2, is based on the 29.5% efficiency ZTJ triple-junction structure. The performance of this cell has been enhanced via grid design improvements, resulting in a 0.3% absolute efficiency increase. To confirm electrical performance and investigate reliability with respect to the

Assessment of oral bioavailability enhancing approaches for SB-247083 using flow-through cell dissolution testing as one of the screens

International Journal of Pharmaceutics, 2003
SB-247083 is a potent, nonpeptidic, orally active, ETA-selective, endothelin receptor antagonist. The diacid form and three salts (monoarginine, diarginine and disodium) of SB-247083 were evaluated during the pre-clinical phase of development. The developability attributes (i.e.

HLA typing used with cultured amniotic and chorionic villus cells for early prenatal diagnosis or parentage testing without one parent's availability

Human Immunology, 1986
Like fetal fibroblasts and amniotic fluid cells, cultured chorionic villus cells can also be HLA typed with selected typing sera after preincubation with gamma interferon to promote better antigen expression. A modified procedure now in use would also allow any of these cell types to be tested for the presence or absence of all known HLA A,B,C, and DR ...
