Ontological quality control in large-scale, applied ontology matching [PDF]
To date, large-scale applied ontology mapping has relied greatly on label matching and other relatively simple syntactic features. In search of more holistic and accurate alignment, we offer a suite of partially overlapping ontology mapping heuristics ...

Adaptaquin selectively kills glioma stem cells while sparing differentiated brain cells. Transcriptomic and proteomic analyses show Adaptaquin disrupts iron and cholesterol homeostasis, with iron chelation amplifying cytotoxicity via cholesterol depletion, mitochondrial dysfunction, and elevated reactive oxygen species.

Optimizing Ontology Alignment through Linkage Learning on Entity Correspondences
Data heterogeneity is the obstacle for the resource sharing on Semantic Web (SW), and ontology is regarded as a solution to this problem. However, since different ontologies are constructed and maintained independently, there also exists the ...

Ontology Matching with CIDER: evaluation report for OAEI 2011 [PDF]
CIDER is a schema-based ontology alignment system. Its algorithm compares each pair of ontology terms by, firstly, extracting their ontological contexts up to a certain depth (enriched by using lightweight inference) and, secondly, combining different ...

This study integrates transcriptomic profiling of matched tumor and healthy tissues from 32 colorectal cancer patients with functional validation in patient‐derived organoids, revealing dysregulated metabolic programs driven by overexpressed xCT (SLC7A11) and SLC3A2, identifying an oncogenic cystine/glutamate transporter signature linked to ...

Bayesian Evaluation and Comparison of Ontology Alignment Systems
Ontology alignment systems are evaluated by various performance scores, which are usually computed by a ratio related directly to the frequency of the true positives.

In over 50% of non‐metastatic breast cancer patients, circulating tumor cells (CTCs) along the whole epithelial‐mesenchymal transition spectrum are detected. Total CTC number and individual phenotypes relate to aggressive disease characteristics, including lymph node involvement and higher tumor proliferation. At the single‐cell level, mesenchymal CTCs

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).
