Swelling‐Programmed Topographical Guidance for Dynamic Spheroid Self‐Assembly via a Mechanochemical Hydrogel Niche

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A swelling‐programmed micropatterned hydrogel guides adherent cells through a controlled transition from cell–matrix anchoring to cadherin‐mediated cell–cell compaction, enabling rapid assembly of high‐viability spheroids with defined size and morphology.

A Channel-Theoretic foundation for ontology coordination

open access: yes, 2004
We address the mathematical foundations of the ontology coordination problem and investigate to which extent the Barwise-Seligman theory of information flow may provide a faithful theoretical description of the problem.

Spatiotemporal Drug Delivery via a Neonatal Spinal Cord ECM Hydrogel for Biomimetic Microenvironment Remodeling After Spinal Cord Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A biomimetic hydrogel derived from neonatal spinal cord ECM (DNSCM) delivers LAMB2 protein and ISP peptide to remodel the inhibitory injury microenvironment. The system sustains drug release, upregulates pro‐regenerative LAMB2, downregulates inhibitory CSPG, and promotes axonal regeneration.

Mapping a System of Systems Core Ontology to a Foundational Ontology

open access: yesProceedings of the 14th International Conference on Model-Based Software and Systems Engineering
This study proposes a mapping of a core ontology for missions and capabilities in Systems of Systems to a foundational ontology. It gives a brief overview of the core ontology, compares various foundation ontologies, outlines suitability characteristics, and maps the two ontologies. The mapping process is based on a superclasssubclass mapping.

Pull‐and‐Push Nanotherapeutic Hydrogels: Scavenging Inflammatory Triggers While Driving Tissue Regeneration in Burn Wounds

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A nanounit‐assembled hydrogel employing a “pull‐and‐push” strategy simultaneously scavenges pro‐inflammatory cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and delivers regenerative therapeutics in response to burn‐induced hyperthermia. By repolarizing macrophages and promoting angiogenesis, this multifunctional platform accelerates burn wound healing, offering a blueprint for

Port-Based Ontology Modeling for Robot Leg Conceptual Design

open access: yesAdvances in Mechanical Engineering, 2013
Port, as an interface of the component, can be used to exchange information with its outer environment. It is the basis of the component concept and configuration generation. In this paper, port-based ontology representation is first given, and component

Infusible Extracellular Matrix Biomaterial Enhances Cell‐Specific Pro‐Repair Responses Following Acute Myocardial Infarction

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
We measure the cell‐specific responses of administering infusible ECM (iECM) in acute myocardial infarction (MI) across multiple timepoints. Using single‐nucleus RNA sequencing and spatial transcriptomics, we measure macrophage activation, fibroblast remodeling, increased vascular development, lymphangiogenesis, cardioprotection, and neurogenesis ...

DSSim-ontology mapping with uncertainty [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
This paper introduces an ontology mapping system that is used with a multi agent ontology mapping framework in the context of question answering. Our mapping algorithm incorporates the Dempster Shafer theory of evidence into the mapping process in order to improve the correctness of the mapping.
