Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Improving Ontology Matching Using Application Requirements for Segmenting Ontologies [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Universal Computer Science, 2019
Ontology matching is concerned with finding relations between elements of different ontologies. In large-scale settings, some significant challenges arise, such as how to achieve a reduction in the time it takes to perform matching and how to improve the

Matching Biomedical Ontologies via a Hybrid Graph Attention Network

open access: yesFrontiers in Genetics, 2022
Biomedical ontologies have been used extensively to formally define and organize biomedical terminologies, and these ontologies are typically manually created by biomedical experts. With more biomedical ontologies being built independently, matching them

LINC01116, a hypoxia‐lncRNA marker of pathological lymphangiogenesis and poor prognosis in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The LINC01116 long noncoding RNA is induced by hypoxia and associated with poor prognosis and high recurrence rates in two cohorts of lung adenocarcinoma patients. Here, we demonstrate that besides its expression in cancer cells, LINC01116 is markedly expressed in lymphatic endothelial cells of the tumor stroma in which it participates in hypoxia ...

A Compact Flow Regime Algorithm for Improving the Efficiency of Metaheuristics-Based Ontology Matching System

open access: yesIEEE Access
Ontology matching is a key technology for solving the problem of semantic heterogeneity between ontologies. In past years, scholars have proposed many approaches committed to improve the quality of ontology matching.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Semantic matching of cloud resource service for user product design requirement

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Mechanical Design, Systems, and Manufacturing, 2019
Under the cloud manufacturing (CMfg) environment, a multilayer semantic matching model of design requirement and cloud service resource based on ontology was proposed to guarantee the rapid and accurate matching of resource services to meet the cloud ...

Methodological Guidelines for Matching Ontologies

open access: yes, 2011
Finding alignments between ontologies is a very important operation for ontology engineering. It allows for establishing links between ontologies, either to integrate them in an application or to relate developed ontologies to context. It is even more critical for networked ontologies.

Long‐term culture of skin biopsies: maintenance of fibroblast production and competency of reprogramming

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Skin biopsies taken from a patient with an ultra‐rare disorder as well as controls were cultured for up to 473 days. The chunks of skin were serially transferred to a new culture plate when confluent with fibroblasts. Different generations of fibroblasts were analyzed for cell and molecular properties, proliferation, and competence for reprogramming to
