Inhibition of ROS1 activity with lorlatinib reversibly suppresses fertility in male mice

open access: yesAndrology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Inhibition of sperm maturation in the epididymis is a promising post‐testicular strategy for short‐acting male contraceptives. It has been shown that ROS1, a receptor tyrosine kinase expressed in the epididymis, is essential for epididymal differentiation, sperm maturation, and male fertility in mice.

A WHO 2021‐based comprehensive scheme outlining sperm parameters’ associations with IVF outcomes in PGT‐A cycles

open access: yesAndrology, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective To examine the association between semen parameters, assessed according to World Health Organization (WHO)‐2021 criteria, and paternal body mass index (BMI) and age, with embryological and clinical outcomes in ICSI cycles involving preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidy (PGT‐A).

Effects of AZFc (b2/b4, b1/b3, b2/b3, and gr/gr) deletions and primary duplications on the outcomes of the first intracytoplasmic sperm injection treatment cycle: A single‐center retrospective cohort study

open access: yesAndrology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Current advances in high‐throughput sequencing technology enable the precise identification of Y chromosome microdeletion and primary duplication in infertile couples, but the mechanism and clinical significance of these mutations in assisted reproductive techniques remain unclear.

Human asthenozoospermia: Update on genetic causes, patient management, and clinical strategies

open access: yesAndrology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background In mammals, sperm fertilization potential relies on efficient progression within the female genital tract to reach and fertilize the oocyte. This fundamental property is supported by the flagellum, an evolutionarily conserved organelle, which contains dynein motor proteins that provide the mechanical force for sperm propulsion and ...
