A Biomarker‐Driven Ovary–Endometrium Organ‐on‐a‐Chip Mimicking 3D Multicellular Complexity and Menstrual Cyclicity for Predicting Reproductive Toxicity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We present a dual‐organ, biomarker‐integrated ovaryendometrium organ‐on‐a‐chip that recapitulates 3D tissue complexity, menstrual cycle dynamics, and hormonal crosstalk. This platform enables real‐time, cell‐typespecific fluorescent readouts of reproductive toxicity using ANGPTL4 and SERPINB2 as early‐response reporters.

Domestication of Tartary Buckwheat Shaped a Regulatory Module for Seedling Salt Tolerance by Targeting the Magnesium Transporter Gene FtMGT2

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Domestication of Tartary buckwheat is selected for a salt tolerance mechanism involving the magnesium transporter FtMGT2. Its expression is controlled by the FtAGL16‐FtMYB15L module, which is stabilized under salt stress through a competitive interaction that blocks its degradation by the E3 ligase FtBRG1, ultimately boosting Na⁺ efflux and plant ...

The autophagic inducer and inhibitor display different activities on the meiotic and developmental competencies of porcine oocytes derived from small and medium follicles

open access: yesThe Journal of Reproduction and Development, 2019
This study aimed to examine the effect of rapamycin (autophagy inducer) and 3-methyladenine (3-MA, autophagy inhibitor) on the meiotic and developmental competencies of porcine oocytes derived from medium follicles (MF, 3–6 mm in diameter) and small ...

Soybean Auxin Transporter PIN3 Regulates Nitrate Acquisition to Improve Nitrogen Use and Seed Traits

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Xu et al. discovers that switching off auxin transporters in soybean, PIN3a and PIN3b, disrupts auxin flow; this triggers ARF‐STF3/4 signal cascade to activate the nitrate importer NPF2.13 and soil nitrogen acquisition. Multi‐year field trials show edited soybeans maintain yield with higher oil content, offering a potential genetic route to improve ...

Exposure to α-Tocopherol, Lutein or Ascorbic Acid improve Cumulus Expansion, Viability and Maturation of Swine Oocytes

open access: yesScientific Papers Animal Science and Biotechnologies, 2023
Protection of the fatty acid and lipid components of oocytes that render them susceptible to free radical or other oxidative injury may prevent the damage currently associated with culture. The goal of this study was to establish the influence of several

Effectiveness of Multivitamins vs Folic Acid on Prevention of Neural Tube Defects in Mouse Genetic Models and Human Organoids

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Folic acid (FA) and multivitamins/minerals (MVM) are recommended for the prevention of neural tube defects (NTDs). Using a novel human neural tube‐like organoid system and mouse models, the study compares the effectiveness of two supplements on NTDs and cellular behaviors.

One step closer to understanding the ecology of Cameraria ohridella (Lepidoptera: Gracillariidae): The effects of light conditions

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Entomology, 2019
Horse chestnut leaf miner (Cameraria ohridella) has achieved ecological success by colonizing the entire European range of its primary host, horse chestnut (Aesculus hippocastanum).

The Evolutionarily Conserved TPM1 Super‐Enhancer Drives Skeletal Muscle Regeneration via Mechanotransduction Signaling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By integrating biomechanical and epigenetic cues, the evolutionarily conserved TPM1 super‐enhancer drives myogenesis via TEAD4‐mediated chromatin looping. This mechanism produces species‐specific outputs (linear TPM1 mRNA in mice and CircTPM1 in bovine) that activate PI3K/AKT mechanotransduction and the MYH10/MYL3 axis to execute cytoskeletal ...
