A short-duration pulse of ductile normal shear on the outer South Tibetan detachment in Bhutan : alternating channel flow and critical taper mechanics of the eastern Himalaya [PDF]
In easternmost Bhutan the South Tibetan detachment (STD) is a ductile shear zone that juxtaposes the Radi (or Sakteng) klippe of the Tethyan Sedimentary Series from underlying high-grade Greater Himalayan rocks.

Compound open-channel flows: effects of transverse currents on the flow structure
The structure of free-surface flows in a straight compound channel was investigated in a laboratory flume, consisting of a central smooth-bed main channel (MC) and two adjacent rough-surface floodplains (FPs). The experiments covered both uniform and non-

Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Numerical Simulation of Flow Field Formed in Water Pump-Sump [PDF]
Two fundamental types of flow problems besetting water intakes are swirling flow problems in the pump sump and sediment problems at entrance or within intakes.

Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Radiotherapy (RT) response depends on the DNA repair capacity of tumor and host cells. We show that circulating tumor cell (CTC) counts and apoptosis rates before and after RT predict treatment response and outcome, which can be accessed via easily accessible liquid biopsy approaches. Laminar and turbulent analytical dam break wave modelling on dry-downstream open channel flow [PDF]
YesA dam break wave caused by the discontinuity in depth and velocity of a flow is resulted from instantaneous release a body of water from a channel and classified naturally as a rapidly varied unsteady flow.

Investigating the Effect of Circular Bridge Piers on Local Scouring at 60° Channel Junctions Using SSIIM1 3D Numerical Model [PDF]
Insertion of different water structures such as bridge piers in the flow path contracts the flow cross section and causes backwater at upstream sections.
