A methionine‐lined active site governs carbocation stabilization and product specificity in a bacterial terpene synthase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

AN ANALYSIS OF DIFFERENT FORMS OF INTELLIGENCE WITHIN ORGANIZATIONS [PDF]

open access: yesRisk in Contemporary Economy, 2015
We have considered the conceptual relations between different types of intelligence. Thus, we define an unified intelligence environment within the organization, based on operational knowledge (often inaccurate), called UIFOLOK (Unified Intelligent ...

Investigation of Applicability of Polyimide Membranes for Air Separation in Oxy-MILD Zero-Emission Power Plants [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2019
Primary element of an oxy-combustion plants is ambient air separation unit. This paper presents the results of experimental research concerning the parameters of the separation of N2/O2 from ambient air, using capillary polymer membranes, potentially ...

Motion Connected Operators For Image Sequences

open access: yes, 1996
This paper deals with motion-oriented connected operators. These operators eliminate from an original sequence the components that do not undergo a specific motion (defined as a filtering parameter). As any connected operator, they achieve a simplification of the original image while preserving the contour information of the components that have not be

Linking neurogenesis, oligodendrogenesis, and myelination defects to neurodevelopmental disruption in primary mitochondrial disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

Experimental cyclic inter-conversion between Coherence and Quantum Correlations

open access: yes, 2017
Quantum resource theories seek to quantify sources of non-classicality that bestow quantum technologies their operational advantage. Chief among these are studies of quantum correlations and quantum coherence.

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

The neural crest‐associated gene ERRFI1 is involved in melanoma progression and resistance toward targeted therapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.
