Petrobras Operational Excellence Programme

21st International Conference on Offshore Mechanics and Arctic Engineering, Volume 2, 2002
This paper addresses actions implemented by Petrobras after the P-36 accident. The purpose of investigations following major accidents is to understand what exactly happened to avoid repetition. It is everyone’s responsibility to adopt practices that mitigate the risks even more in any activities.

A 130nm CMOS Programmable Operational Amplifier

2008 NORCHIP, 2008
In this work we present a programmable 1.2 V Operational Amplifier (OpAmp) realized in a standard 130 nm CMOS technology. The OpAmp is based on a 3 V rail-to-rail input/output topology. The experimental results show the feasibility of using higher voltage topologies in conjunction with multi-threshold (multi-Vth) process options for low voltage designs.

Network-Programmable Operational Flow Profiling

IEEE Communications Magazine, 2019
A detailed understanding of networks and network flows is key for many important operational problems, such as optimizing network performance, identifying causes of degradations or service-level fluctuations, and detecting security threats. However, gaining such insights remains a highly challenging task.

Embedded parallel operation programmer modeling

2018 7th Mediterranean Conference on Embedded Computing (MECO), 2018
Mobile robot embedded programmer functioning is considered. It is shown, that abstract analogue of single programmer operation is an ordinary step-by-step semi-Markov process without returning to previous step. This abstraction is insufficient for analytical modeling the mobile robot programmer as a whole, so to simulate synchronized onboard equipment ...

Benefits of pre-operative information programmes

Nursing Standard, 2004
Thousands of patients undergo surgical procedures daily. Research has shown the benefits of giving pre-operative information to patients, which include decreased length of stay, less demand for analgesia post-operatively and increased patient satisfaction.

Vector Operations to Matrix Operations [EM Programmer's Notebook]

IEEE Antennas and Propagation Magazine, 2012
An efficient technique is developed to simplify computations in the field of vector analysis. The evaluation of vector algebraic and differential operations becomes more simple and straightforward by simply transforming the vector operations into matrix operations.

Choosing the Operational Research Programme for B.I.S.R.A.

OR, 1967
This paper examines some important problems in the evaluation and selection of research projects, with particular reference to operational research projects in a central industry research organization. A method for project evaluation is suggested which provides data suitable for use in a powerful and flexible formal procedure for project selection.

Offloading Collective Operations to Programmable Logic

IEEE Micro, 2017
The authors describe their architecture and implementation for offloading collective operations to programmable logic in the communication substrate. Collective operations are widely used in parallel processing. Their design and implementation strategies affect the performance of many high-performance computing applications that utilize them ...
