Prolegomena to an Operator Theory of Computation

open access: yesInformation, 2020
Defining computation as information processing (information dynamics) with information as a relational property of data structures (the difference in one system that makes a difference in another system) makes it very suitable to use operator formulation,

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

An Integrated Methodology for Assessing Wind Power Curtailment Using Anemometric Measurements and Operational Data in the Brazilian Context

open access: yesAtmosphere
The increasing share of wind power generation has intensified the occurrence of curtailment events in power systems worldwide, mainly driven by transmission constraints, operational limitations, and imbalances between generation and demand.

„Tworzenie świata” należy rozpocząć od światła. Szkic do portretu Vittorio Storaro na podstawie „Tanga” Carlosa Saury

open access: yesKwartalnik Filmowy, 2001
Esej poświęcony twórczości światowej sławy operatora Vittorio Storaro. Chmielecki analizuje wizualny aspekt Tanga Carlosa Saury. Autor argumentuje, że Storaro reprezentuje postawę, zgodnie z którą rzeczywistość profilmowa okazuje się zbyt uboga, by mogła

Linking neurogenesis, oligodendrogenesis, and myelination defects to neurodevelopmental disruption in primary mitochondrial disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

A relation between two simple Hardy-Mulholland-type inequalities with parameters

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2016
By means of weight coefficients and the technique of real analysis, a new Hardy-Mulholland-type inequality with the kernel K λ ( m , n ) : = 1 ln λ U m + ln λ V n + α | ln λ U m − ln λ V n | $$ K_{\lambda}(m,n):=\frac{1}{\ln^{\lambda}U_{m}+\ln^{\lambda ...
