Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Operator identities for standard weighted Bergman shift and Toeplitz operators [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We prove an operator identity for the shift operator in the scale of standard weighted Bergman spaces in the unit disc. This operator identity is then applied in the context of functional calculus for the shift operator and a characterization of harmonic

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Estimation de la fréquence instantanée des signaux FM par opérateur d'énergie Psi_B [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Psi_B energy operator is an extension of the cross Teager-Kaiser energy operator which is an non-linear energy tracking operator to deal with complex signals and its usefulness for non-stationary signals analysis has been demonstrated. In this letter two

The Brownian loop soup stress-energy tensor

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
The Brownian loop soup (BLS) is a conformally invariant statistical ensemble of random loops in two dimensions characterized by an intensity λ > 0. Recently, we constructed families of operators in the BLS and showed that they transform as conformal ...

Organizing the interface—Plasma membrane architecture and receptor dynamics in virus‐cell interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Gate level optimisation of primitive operator digital filters using a carry save decomposition [PDF]

open access: yes, 1994
This paper introduces a method for optimising digital filter realisations at the gate level. The method is based on a derivative of the primitive operator approach of Bull and Horrocks which is extended using a carry-save decomposition of the primitive ...

Phosphoinositides and inositol phosphates as molecular glues

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Inositol phosphates (IPs) and phosphoinositides (PIPs) regulate diverse eukaryotic processes. Beyond recruiting signaling proteins or acting as structural cofactors, recent studies suggest they mediate protein–protein interactions as natural molecular glues.

A natural space of functions for the Ruelle operator theorem [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
We study a new space, $R(X)$, of real-valued continuous functions on the space $X$ of sequences of zeros and ones. We show exactly when the Ruelle operator theorem holds for such functions.

On a compound approximation operator of D.D. Stancu type

open access: yesJournal of Numerical Analysis and Approximation Theory, 2006
In this note we consider a linear and positive compound approximation operator of D.D. Stancu type depending of several parameters; we give the expressions of this operator on the test functions, the conditions under which this operator converges to a ...
