Operator-Norm Approximation of Semigroups by Quasi-sectorial Contractions
We extend the Chernoff theory of approximation of contraction semigroups à la Trotter. We show that the Trotter–Neveu–Kato convergence theorem holds in operator norm for a family of uniformly m-sectorial generators in a Hilbert space.

Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.

Sharp estimates for the Ornstein-Uhlenbeck operator
Let L be the Ornstein-Uhlenbeck operator which is self-adjoint with respect to the Gauss measure γ on Rd. We prove a sharp estimate of the operator norm of the imaginary powers of L on Lp(γ),

On the norm attainment set of a bounded linear operator
In this paper we explore the properties of a bounded linear operator defined on a Banach space, in light of operator norm attainment. Using Birkhoff-James orthogonality techniques, we give a necessary condition for a nonzero bounded linear operator to ...

Operator Theory by Example [PDF]
When it comes to teaching mathematics, it quickly becomes apparent that pedagogical and didactic interests are never perfectly aligned. The quality of a textbook therefore depends on how well the authors manage to reconcile these conflicting interests ...

More power vector bounds for operator pairs in Hilbert spaces with applications
This paper investigates power vector inequalities for bounded linear operator pairs ( B , C ) $(B,C)$ in a Hilbert space H $\mathcal{H}$ . By leveraging vector inequalities derived by the second author for inner products and norms, we establish various ...

Multiplication Operators between Lipschitz-Type Spaces on a Tree
Let ℒ be the space of complex-valued functions 𝑓 on the set of vertices 𝑇 of an infinite tree rooted at 𝑜 such that the difference of the values of 𝑓 at neighboring vertices remains bounded throughout the tree, and let ℒ𝐰 be the set of functions 𝑓∈ℒ such

Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐
