CNC–PNIPAM Drug Delivery System Improves Endometrial Receptivity via Natural Killer Cell Immune Tolerance in Endometriosis

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, Volume 6, Issue 5, May 2026.
An injectable CNC–PNIPAM hydrogel is developed for intrauterine co‐delivery of levonorgestrel and botropase. This platform reprograms uterine natural killer cells toward an immune–tolerant phenotype and enhances endometrial receptivity marker expression. The results demonstrate a promising strategy to counteract endometriosis–associated infertility and

Effects of Topical Steroids and Non‐Steroidal Anti‐Inflammatory Drugs on Gastrointestinal Bleeding in Rats

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 3, May 2026.
Short‐term topical ocular steroids and NSAIDs did not result in statistically significant gastrointestinal bleeding or histopathological injury in healthy rats. Limited faecal occult blood positivity was observed in some steroid‐treated animals but was not accompanied by macroscopic or microscopic evidence of mucosal damage .

Methodological Challenges for Ablation of BMPR1A in Hypothalamic Tanycytes—A Cautionary Tale

open access: yesFASEB BioAdvances, Volume 8, Issue 5, May 2026.
Two strategies were used to target BMPR1A in adult hypothalamic tanycytes: (1) inducible Rax‐CreERT2 and (2) AAV‐Dio2‐iCre–mediated recombination. Although robust expression of reporter fluorescence and recombination gel analysis confirmed Cre activity in both models, BMPR1A expression was not reduced in targeted tanycytes.

Tau‐targeting active immunotherapy slows progression and reduces pathology in mouse models of tauopathy

open access: yesBrain Pathology, Volume 36, Issue 3, May 2026.
The efficacy of the novel anti‐tau active immunotherapy, p5555kb, was tested using two mouse models of tau pathology. p5555kb inoculation increased the survival rate and reduced tau pathology in tau‐overexpressing P301L mice and decreased tau seeding in the brains of C57BL/6 mice injected with human‐purified Alzheimer's disease tau.
