Autoimmunity in MASLD: Focus on autoantibodies, anti‐apolipoprotein A1 IgG and G protein‐coupled receptors

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Clinical Investigation, Volume 55, Issue 10, October 2025.
This review outlines the potential role of anti‐GPCR autoantibodies in MASLD/MASH, given their involvement in a wide range of diseases and their possible contribution to MASLD/MASH pathophysiology. We also focused on anti‐ApoA1 autoantibodies, sharing functional features with anti‐GPCR autoantibodies and have been shown to promote liver steatosis in ...

Association Between Migraine and Periodontitis: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Neurology, Volume 32, Issue 10, October 2025.
People exposed to migraine are 1.8 times more likely to develop periodontitis. This fact highlights the role of oral diseases that have an inflammatory component in the patient's general health affecting quality of life. Preventing periodontitis in the initial stages could contribute to the reduction of local and systemic inflammation.

RTP4 Suppresses Colorectal Cancer Progression via MHC‐I‐Mediated CD8+ T Cell Infiltration and Enhances Immunotherapy Response

open access: yesJournal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, Volume 29, Issue 20, October 2025.
ABSTRACT While RTP4 is known to regulate odorant receptor trafficking, its role in colorectal cancer (CRC) remains unclear. This study investigates the clinical relevance and functional mechanisms of RTP4 in CRC. Comprehensive analyses revealed significant downregulation of RTP4 expression in CRC tissues, correlating with poor patient prognosis.

Astrocytes as Active Participants in Memory

open access: yesJournal of Neurochemistry, Volume 169, Issue 10, October 2025.
This review explores how astrocytes support memory by modulating neurotransmitters, interacting with biomolecules, and taking part in synaptic plasticity. We discuss their role across various brain regions and spotlight cutting‐edge methods—such as Ca2+ imaging, optogenetics, chemogenetics, and engram analysis—that have revolutionized our ability to ...
