An Overlap of Erdheim–Chester Disease and Rosai–Dorfman Disease With Isolated Bone Lesions Presenting a Diagnostic Challenge: A Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 10, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Some of the rarest diseases with cell accumulation in different organs are histiocytoses. Since these diagnoses are uncommon, other differential diagnoses must be excluded. We report a case of a 42‐year‐old man with episodes of knee pain and fever.

Seven‐Year Delayed Diagnosis of a Giant Suprasellar Arachnoid Cyst Presenting With Progressive Gait Disturbance: Successful Endoscopic Ventriculocystocisternostomy—A Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 10, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Suprasellar arachnoid cysts are uncommon pediatric lesions that may cause obstructive hydrocephalus and optic pathway compromise, often with insidious clinical progression. We report an 11‐year‐old boy who presented with a 7‐year history of progressive gait disturbance and imbalance.

Homologous Fatty Acid Additives for Simultaneous Corrosion Suppression and Zn2+ Transport Enhancement in Aqueous Zinc‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesChemElectroChem, Volume 13, Issue 19, 1 October 2026.
Aqueous zinc‐ion batteries are viable for grid‐scale storage. Dendrites, corrosion, and hydrogen evolution hinder their deployment. Sodium salts of medium‐chain fatty acids (C12–C14) are chosen as electrolyte additive. They block side reactions while sustaining Zn2+ transport.

Diagnostic accuracy of ultrasonographic optic nerve sheath diameter for detecting increased intracranial pressure in traumatic brain injury: An umbrella review on previous systematic reviews

open access: yesHong Kong Journal of Emergency Medicine, Volume 33, Issue 5, October 2026.
Abstract Background Traumatic brain injury (TBI) frequently results in increased intracranial pressure (ICP), which may cause irreversible damage or fatality if not addressed. Prompt and precise detection of ICP is essential, particularly in emergency situations.

The Role of Ultra‐Low‐Dose Naloxone as an Additive in Anesthesia and Nerve Block: A Systematic Review

open access: yesHealth Science Reports, Volume 9, Issue 10, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Background and Aims In anesthesia and analgesia, opioids alone or in combination with local anesthetics (bupivacaine, lidocaine, and ropivacaine) have been investigated to prolong peripheral nerve blocks. Ultra‐low‐dose naloxone administration in local anesthetic solutions could lengthen sensory and motor blocks through enhanced opioid effects
