Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Detecting the trapping of small metal nanoparticles in the gap of nanoantennas with optical second harmonic generation [PDF]

open access: yes
The second harmonic generation from gold nanoparticles trapped into realistic and idealized gold nanoantennas is numerically investigated using a surface integral equations technique.

Moving Object Detection Using a Stereo Camera Mounted on a Moving Platform

open access: yesSICE Journal of Control, Measurement, and System Integration, 2017
In this paper, we propose a method for detecting moving objects using a moving stereo camera. First, the camera motion parameters are estimated by using optical flow with a stereo camera.

Creation of an optical sensor based on the pCdTe – nCdS and pCdTe – nCdSe heterostructure for detecting polluted air [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences
This article discusses the creation of optical sensors for detecting polluted air based on the pCdTe – nCdS and pCdTe – nCdSe heterostructures. It was established that the developed optical sensors, with an automatic control system using Arduino, operate

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

Remote detection optical magnetometry

open access: yesPhysics Reports
Sensitive magnetometers have been applied in a wide range of research fields, including geophysical exploration, bio-magnetic field detection, ultralow-field nuclear magnetic resonance, etc. Commonly, magnetometers are directly placed at the position where the magnetic field is to be measured.

Ultrasensitive Optical Sensing Based on Non-Hermitian Metasurfaces

open access: yes, 2019
We present here an ultrasensitive optical sensing technique based on the parity-time (PT)-symmetric non-Hermitian metasurfaces. The system is composed of a pair of active and passive metasurfaces with the subtle gain-loss balance. Specifically, these two
