Genomics via optical mapping. III: Contiging genomic DNA.

Proceedings. International Conference on Intelligent Systems for Molecular Biology, 2000
In this paper, we describe our algorithmic approach to constructing an alignment of (contiging) a set of restriction maps created from the images of individual genomic (uncloned) DNA molecules digested by restriction enzymes. Generally, these DNA segments are sized in the range of 1-4 Mb.

A Case of Cryptic CBFB::MYH11 Acute Myeloid Leukemia With Noncanonical Breakpoints Detected by Optical Genome Mapping.

The Journal of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network
Accurate and timely detection of clinically relevant genetic abnormalities, such as CBFB::MYH11 or inversion(16) [inv(16)], is critical for the diagnosis and management of patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML).

Optical genome mapping improves the accuracy of classification, risk stratification, and personalized treatment strategies for patients with acute myeloid leukemia

American journal of hematology/oncology
Cytogenomic characterization is crucial for the classification and risk stratification of acute myeloid leukemia (AML), thereby facilitating therapeutic decision‐making. We examined the clinical utility of optical genome mapping (OGM) in 159 AML patients

Whole-Genome Shotgun Optical Mapping of Deinococcus radiodurans

Science, 1999
A whole-genome restriction map of Deinococcus radiodurans , a radiation-resistant bacterium able to survive up to 15,000 grays of ionizing radiation, was constructed without using DNA libraries, the polymerase chain reaction, or electrophoresis.

Abstract B147: The use of whole genome sequencing and optical genome mapping to identify novel drivers of health disparity in pediatric leukemia in Hispanic/Latino children

Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers & Prevention
Hispanic/Latino (HL) children have 50% higher risk of developing Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (B-ALL) than Non-Hispanic whites (NHW) and after correcting for socioeconomic factors, H/L children with B-ALL have 40% higher mortality than NHW.

Genomic Mapping of Kjer Dominant Optic Atrophy

Archives of Ophthalmology, 1997
Kjer DOMINANToptic atrophy (DOA) is a rare primary degeneration of the retinal ganglion cell. In this issue of theArchives, 2 articles describing the genetic analysis of single, large, affected families confirm the initial genomic mapping of this disease to chromosome 3q27-3q28 and refine the localization of the gene to a 4 to 7 centimorgan region.1 ...

Detection of KMT2A Partial Tandem Duplication by Optical Genome Mapping in Myeloid Neoplasms: Associated Cytogenetics, Gene Mutations, Treatment Responses, and Patient Outcomes

Cancers
Simple Summary KMT2A partial tandem duplication (PTD) involves intragenic duplications within the KMT2A gene and has been associated with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS).

Optical Genome Mapping: A Machine-Based Platform in Cytogenomics

Optical genome mapping (OGM) has generated excitement following decades of research and development. Now, commercially available technical platforms have been used to compare various other cytogenetic and cytogenomic technologies, including karyotype, microarrays, and DNA sequencing, with impressive results.
