OPTICAL SPIN INJECTION IN SEMICONDUCTORS
Modern Physics Letters B, 2010A theoretical review of optical spin injection for bulk semiconductors is presented. As an example, we calculated such response in bulk Si , GaAs and CdSe . For each of these systems the computation of the electronic wavefunctions and energies are obtained under the density functional theory (DFT) within the local density approximation (LDA).

Optically injected mode-locked laser
Physical Review E, 2011We study analytically and numerically a delay differential model of a passively mode-locked semiconductor laser subjected to a single frequency coherent injection. The width of the locking cone is calculated asymptotically in the limit of small injection and compared to that obtained by direct numerical integration of the model equations.

Nanoplasmonic drill for optical injection
Plasmonics in Biology and Medicine XVIII, 2021Gold nanoparticles are ideal tools for cargo transportation. However, injection of nanoparticles into cells remains difficult. Current method utilizes laser light to heat up the particles and the surrounding media to create shock wave or air bubble to push the particle into the cells.

Injection System. Part II—Injection Optics
Review of Scientific Instruments, 1953The injection optical system, through which the 3.6-Mev proton beam from the Van de Graaff accelerator enters the Cosmotron, consists primarily of a deflecting magnet and an electrostatic inflector in which the beam is deflected through angles of 25° and 30°, respectively.

Optical Monitoring of Polypropylene Injection Molding
Journal of Reinforced Plastics and Composites, 1998We have developed a model to describe the behavior of an optical fiber sensor for monitoring injection molding. The sensor was used to detect light reflected from the mold cavity during the packing and cooling phases of injection molding of polypropylene. Light which reflected off the opposite wall of the mold and back to the optical fiber was analyzed

Multistability in optically injected semiconductor lasers
Conference Digest. 2000 International Quantum Electronics Conference (Cat. No.00TH8504), 2000Monochromatic optical injection in a semiconductor laser has received extensive attention during the last two decades. Nevertheless, many properties concerning its dynamics are still unrevealed and far from being well understood. We have used advanced techniques from bifurcation theory to explore new regions of coexistence of different modes of ...

Optical Injection Locking of Baritt Oscillators
IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 1983Optical injection locking of BARITT oscillators is investigated. Preliminary experimental results are presented for the first time. A sirmple first-order locking theory gives reasonable agreement with measurements.
