Effectiveness and Safety of Baricitinib for Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis–Associated Uveitis or Chronic Anterior Antinuclear Antibody–Positive Uveitis

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of baricitinib in pediatric patients with active juvenile idiopathic arthritis–associated uveitis (JIA‐U) or chronic anterior antinuclear antibody–positive uveitis, who had an inadequate response to methotrexate (MTX) or biologic disease‐modifying antirheumatic drugs (bDMARDs).

Precision spectral manipulation of optical pulses using a coherent photon echo memory

open access: yes, 2010
Photon echo schemes are excellent candidates for high efficiency coherent optical memory. They are capable of high-bandwidth multi-pulse storage, pulse resequencing and have been shown theoretically to be compatible with quantum information applications.

Neuronal chemotaxis by optically manipulated liposomes

open access: yesJournal of the European Optical Society-Rapid Publications, 2011
We probe chemotaxis of single neurons, induced by signalling molecules which were optically delivered from liposomes in the neighbour-hood of the cells. We implemented an optical tweezers setup combined with a micro-dissection system on an inverted microscope platform.

Testing a Personalized Approach to Chronic Low Back Pain: A Randomized Controlled Trial in Older Veterans

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective We aimed to test the efficacy of personalized treatment of older veterans with chronic low back pain (CLBP) delivered by Aging Back Clinics (ABCs) as compared with usual care (UC). Methods Two hundred ninety‐nine veterans aged 65 to 89 with CLBP from three Veterans Affairs (VA) medical centers underwent baseline testing, randomization to ABC ...

An Adjustment Strategy for Tilted Moiré Fringes via Deep Q-Network

open access: yesPhotonics
Overlay accuracy, one of the three fundamental indicators of lithography, is directly influenced by alignment precision. During the alignment process based on the Moiré fringe method, a slight angular misalignment between the mask and wafer will cause ...

Microdroplet oscillations during optical pulling

open access: yes, 2011
It was recently shown theoretically that it is possible to pull a spherical dielectric body towards the source of a laser beam [Nature Photonics {\bf 5}, 531 (2011)], a result with immediate consequences to optical manipulation of small droplets. Optical
