Cross Resonant Optical Antenna
Physical Review Letters, 2009We propose a novel cross resonant optical antenna consisting of two perpendicular nanosized gold dipole antennas with a common feed gap. We demonstrate that the cross antenna is able to convert propagating fields of any polarization state into correspondingly polarized, localized, and enhanced fields and vice versa.

Resonance characteristics of fiber optic ring resonator in fiber optical resonator gyroscope
SPIE Proceedings, 1998In this paper, based on the typical example of fiber optical ring resonator which is constructed by connecting single mode fiber depend on fiber optic directional coupler, the resonance depth and finesse are discussed and their equation are derived too. Furthermore, the optimal resonance term are given and illustrated clearly in some curves.

A low-power all optical decoder based on photonic crystal nonlinear ring resonators
Optik (Stuttgart), 2018In this paper, an all-optical 2-to-4 decoder based on photonic crystal nonlinear ring resonators is proposed. The designed decoder has one enable port which can control decoding operation.

Nonorthogonal Optical Waveguides and Resonators
Bell System Technical Journal, 1970The modes of propagation in optical systems which do not possess meridional planes of symmetry (nonorthogonal systems) are investigated in the case where the effect of apertures and losses can be neglected. The fundamental mode of propagation is obtained with the help of a complex ray pencil concept.

Berry’s phase in optical resonance
Physical Review A, 1989We examine the role of Berry's geometrical phase [Proc. R. Soc. London, Ser. A 392, 45 (1984)] in the coherent excitation of atoms. The dynamics of a two-level atom prepared in a superposition of its eigenstates will be modified in a nontrivial fashion by the Berry phase.

Unstable Optical Resonators: Comment

Optical dielectric resonator antenna
2012 9th International Conference on Communications (COMM), 2012In this paper we propose that a dielectric dot on the top of a ground plane could act as an antenna in optical frequency range. We investigate its electromagnetic properties numerically and observe that its behaviors are similar to dielectric resonator antenna in radio frequency.

Optical ring resonators and implications for resonant micro-optic gyroscopes
2016 IEEE Photonics Conference (IPC), 2016Two types of optical ring resonators and implications for tactical-grade RMOGs are investigated. One is a 2.5 cm diameter silica waveguide ring resonator, and the other is a 60 cm long optical fiber ring resonator. Performance evaluation is completed and the results are presented.

Optical resonator with negative dispersion
Optics Letters, 1984Analysis of an optical ring resonator consisting of a prism and two mirrors demonstrates that such a resonator can have adjustable dispersion of either sign. The dispersion is proportional to the second derivative of the optical path length in the resonator with respect to wavelength.

Optical Resonant Cavity in a Nanotaper
Nano Letters, 2010The present study describes an optical resonant cavity in a nanotaper with scale reduction from micro to several nanometers. Both experimental results and a finite-difference time-domain (FDTD)-based simulation suggested that the nanometer-scale taper with a diameter similar to the wavelength of light acted as a mirror, which facilitated the formation ...
