Cylindrically symmetric vector beams obtained by overlapping optical vortices

open access: yes, 2012
In recent years, cylindrically symmetric vector beams are widely used in many fields, such as high-resolution microscopy, micro printing and nonlinear optics et al.

Minimally Invasive Delivery of Optical Nanosensors Using Injectable Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Injectable peptide hydrogels offer a minimally invasive delivery platform for single‐walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT)‐based near‐infrared fluorescent sensors, enabling real‐time measurement of drug concentrations. Encapsulated SWCNTs show a dose‐dependent fluorescence response across physiologically relevant concentrations and retain their fluorescence ...

Understanding particle trajectories by mapping optical force vortices

open access: yes, 2020
Vortices can be found in many types of fields, from fluid velocity fields to optical fields. In optical manipulation, we are interested in the optical force field arising from the interaction between the beam and the particle.

Probing Near‐Field EM Fluctuations in Superparamagnetic CoFeB With NV Quantum Dephasometry

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
We non‐invasively investigate the superparamagnetic spin dynamics of a 1.1 nm CoFeB layer by probing its near‐field EM fluctuations using NV centers‐based quantum dephasometry. Our findings are further supported by theoretical modeling and SQUID‐based magnetization characterization. These results provide critical insight into the magnetization dynamics

Harnessing Ultrafast Optical Pulses for 3D Microfabrication by Selective Tweezing and Immobilization of Colloidal Particles in an Integrated System

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, Volume 6, Issue 5, May 2025.
Microfabrication using nano‐ to micron‐sized blocks has transformative potential for next‐gen electronics, optoelectronics, and materials. Traditional methods are limited by scalability and precision. STIC, a single‐laser system for precise colloid manipulation and immobilization using femtosecond lasers, is introduced that enables efficient 3D ...

Generation of Optical Vortices by Linear Phase Ramps

open access: yesInternational Journal of Optics, 2012
Generation of optical vortices using linear phase ramps is experimentally demonstrated. When two regions of a wavefront have opposite phase gradients then along the line of phase discontinuity vortices can be generated.

Optical Vortices in Fiber

open access: yesFrontiers in Optics 2015, 2015
Long lived orbital angular momentum (OAM) states of light in fibers have recently been enabled by a class of so-called ring-fiber designs. We review their potential applications in areas ranging from telecommunications to nanoscale microscopy.
