Patient therapy outcome modeling in cancer organoids is improved by cancer‐associated fibroblasts and organoid assembly convolution

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Patient‐derived organoids (PDOs) from pancreatic, colorectal, and gastric cancers were used to evaluate standard and experimental therapies. Incorporating cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) into organoid cultures improved patient therapy outcome prediction.

Lie group analysis, solitons, self-adjointness and conservation laws of the nonlinear elastic structural element equation

open access: yesJournal of Taibah University for Science
This study is based on the Lie group method for the nonlinear elastic structural element equation (ESE Equation). We obtain a three-dimensional Lie algebra. By utilizing this Lie algebra a four-dimensional optimal system is constructed. The governing ESE

Inhibition of cyclin‐dependent kinases 12/13 using CT7439 as a treatment for colorectal cancer with CDK12 upregulation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The proposed mechanism of action for the CDK12/13 inhibitor and cyclin K degrader, CT7439. CDK12/13 inhibition interrupts transcription elongation, leading to increased DNA damage that results in cell death. This agent is a potentially novel treatment option for patients with colorectal cancer. Created in BioRender. Cyclin‐dependent kinase (CDK) 12 and

Closed-Form Heteroclinic Orbits for a Three-Parameter Dynamical System Using a Modified Optimal Parametric Iteration Method

open access: yesMathematics
Numerous applications from electrical engineering and mechanical structures are mathematically modeled using dynamical systems theory. Our paper concerns the behaviors of a 3D dynamic system in terms of damped or periodical oscillations and asymptotic ...

In vitro and in silico modelling of ROS1‐positive non‐small cell lung cancer reveals fusion‐dependent tyrosine kinase inhibitor responses

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.

The Optimal Auxiliary Functions Method for Semi-Analytical Solutions of the MHD Mixed Convection Stagnation-Point Flow Problem

open access: yesSymmetry
The present paper treats the problem of steady laminar MHD flow of an incompressible viscous fluid for mixed convection stagnation-point flow over a vertical stretching sheet in the presence of an externally magnetic field. By means of the Optimal Auxiliary Functions Method (OAFM), the resulting nonlinear ODEs are semi-analytically solved.

ZW4864‐mediated inhibition of the β‐catenin/BCL9/BCL9L complex reveals therapeutic potential in bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
BCL9 and BCL9L drive bladder cancer progression by enhancing β‐catenin signaling, promoting proliferation, migration, invasion, and organoid growth. Genetic depletion of BCL9(L) suppresses malignant phenotypes, while pharmacological disruption of the β‐catenin/BCL9(L) complex with ZW4864 inhibits canonical Wnt signaling and tumor‐associated cellular ...

Comparative study of fractional Newell–Whitehead–Segel equation using optimal auxiliary function method and a novel iterative approach

open access: yesAIP Advances
This research explores the solution of the time-fractional Newell–Whitehead–Segel equation using two separate methods: the optimal auxiliary function method and a new iterative method. The Newell–Whitehead–Segel equation holds significance in modeling nonlinear systems, particularly in delineating stripe patterns within two-dimensional systems ...

Using of Modified Simplex Imbeddings Method for Solving Special Class of Convex Non-Differentiable Optimization Problems

open access: yesИзвестия Иркутского государственного университета: Серия "Математика", 2015
In this paper it is considered the modified simplex imbeddings method, which is related to the class of cutting plane methods. The main feature of this method is the convergence estimation, which depends only on the quantity of simplex vertices, that are
