Robust Control Using a Matrix Converter to Enhance Wind Turbine Systems

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, Volume 14, Issue 6, Page 2785-2815, June 2026.
This study uses a more efficient and effective solution to improve the operational performance of a wind turbine‐based power system. This system uses a doubly fed induction generator and relies on a matrix converter and fractional‐order proportional–integral controller.

Optimal Quadrature Formulas for the Sobolev Space $H^1$

open access: yes, 2016
We study optimal quadrature formulas for arbitrary weighted integrals and integrands from the Sobolev space $H^1([0,1])$. We obtain general formulas for the worst case error depending on the nodes $x_j$. A particular case is the computation of Fourier coefficients, where the oscillatory weight is given by $ρ_k(x) = \exp(- 2 πi k x)$.

Efficient Numerical Framework for Geothermal Energy Production Optimization in Fracture‐Controlled Reservoirs

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical Methods in Fluids, Volume 98, Issue 6, Page 709-730, June 2026.
We introduce an efficient open‐source numerical framework for the automated search for the placements of injection and production wells in hot fracture‐controlled reservoirs that sustainably optimize geothermal energy production. We model the reservoirs as discrete fracture networks in 3D. The fluid flow and heat transport in the reservoirs are modeled

Absolute Quantification of Brain Deuterium Metabolic Imaging in Healthy Volunteers and Glioblastoma Patients at 7T

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 95, Issue 6, Page 3077-3094, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose We present a method for absolute quantification of deuterated metabolites in vivo at 7T. We describe acquisition protocols and an analysis pipeline compatible with 7T Terra MRIs. We apply them using a 2H/1H receive array in healthy volunteers and glioblastoma patients.

Bending Analysis of Thickness‐ and Shear‐Deformable Materially Imperfect Composite Shells With von Kármán‐Type Geometric Nonlinearities

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mechanical System Dynamics, Volume 6, Issue 2, Page 169-186, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Geometrically nonlinear static analysis of materially imperfect composite doubly curved shells is investigated via the generalised differential quadrature method. The effects of both shear and thickness deformation are considered through a thickness‐ and shear‐deformable third‐order theory formulated in curvilinear coordinates, while the ...

On stratified extensions of Gauss–Laguerre and Gauss–Hermite quadrature formulas

open access: yes, 2001
For the practical estimation of the error of Gauss–Laguerre and Gauss–Hermite quadrature formulas, it is well known that real positive Kronrod formulas do not exist.

Input Layer Regularization and Automated Regularization Hyperparameter Tuning for Myelin Water Estimation Using Deep Learning

open access: yesNMR in Biomedicine, Volume 39, Issue 6, June 2026.
We propose a novel deep learning algorithm for predicting the myelin water fraction from multiple gradient‐echo or spin‐echo pulse sequences arising in magnetic resonance relaxometry (MRR) measurements of the human brain. Our method incorporates both regularized nonlinear least squares and pure deep learning through a concatenation paradigm known as ...

An Augmented Lagrangian Preconditioner for Navier–Stokes Equations With Runge–Kutta in Time

open access: yesNumerical Linear Algebra with Applications, Volume 33, Issue 3, June 2026.
ABSTRACT We consider an implicit Runge–Kutta method for the numerical time integration of the nonstationary incompressible Navier–Stokes equations. This yields a sequence of nonlinear problems to be solved for the stages of the Runge–Kutta method. The resulting nonlinear system of differential equations is discretized using a finite element method.

Optimal Quadrature Formulas with Derivative in the Space : Optimal Quadrature Formulas with Derivative in the Space

open access: yes
. This paper studies the problem of construction of optimal quadrature formulas in the sense of Sard in the space . In this paper the quadrature sum consists of values of the integrand and its first derivative at nodes.
