On optimality conditions of relaxed non-convex variational problems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Non-convex variational problems in many situations lack a classical solution. Still they can be solved in a generalized sense, e.g., they can be relaxed by means of Young measures.

A Minimax-Program-Based Approach for Robust Fractional Multi-Objective Optimization

open access: yesMathematics
In this paper, by making use of some advanced tools from variational analysis and generalized differentiation, we establish necessary optimality conditions for a class of robust fractional minimax programming problems.

Necessary Conditions for Optimality for Stochastic Evolution Equations

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2013
This paper is concerned with providing the maximum principle for a control problem governed by a stochastic evolution system on a separable Hilbert space.

Decoding the dynamic extracellular matrix in cancer—3D models and bioscaffolds rewire the rules of tumor progression

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cancer progression is regulated by the dynamic matrix code of the tumor microenvironment, which influences cellular behavior and disease development. Importantly, matrix remodeling in three‐dimensional cancer models more accurately reflects in vivo conditions compared to conventional two‐dimensional systems.

On optimality in intergenerational risk sharing [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper defines and studies optimality in a dynamic stochastic economy with finitely lived agents, and investigates the optimality properties of an equilibrium with or without sequentially complete markets.

Optimality conditions via exact penalty functions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
In this paper, we study KKT optimality conditions for constrained nonlinear programming problems and strong and Mordukhovich stationarities for mathematical programs with complementarity constraints using ɭp penalty functions, with 0 ≤ p ≤ 1.

Necessary optimality conditions for nonsmooth vector optimization problems

open access: yesMathematical Modelling and Analysis, 2003
In this paper we introduce a notion of generalized derivative for nonsmooth vector functions in order to obtain necessary optimality conditions for vector optimization problems.

Investigating transcription factor dynamics in health and disease using FRAP

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
FRAP analysis of GFP‐tagged transcription factors reveals how molecular mobility and target engagement change in response to drug treatment. By combining live‐cell imaging, quantitative model fitting, and statistical analysis, this approach uncovers transcription factor dynamics linked to disease mechanisms, providing a powerful framework for ...
