Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Operator Methods of the Maximum Principle in Problems of Optimization of Quantum Systems
In the class of optimal control problems for quantum systems, operator optimality conditions for control are constructed in the form of fixed-point problems in the control space.

Solving ill-posed bilevel programs [PDF]
This paper deals with ill-posed bilevel programs, i.e., problems admitting multiple lower-level solutions for some upper-level parameters. Many publications have been devoted to the standard optimistic case of this problem, where the difficulty is ...

On Necessary Optimality Conditions for Discrete Control Systems
In this article, under weakened assumptions, we study high-order necessary optimality conditions for discrete optimal control problems with the free right end of the trajectory.

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

First- and second-order optimality conditions for mathematical programs with vanishing constraints [PDF]
summary:We consider a special class of optimization problems that we call Mathematical Programs with Vanishing Constraints, MPVC for short, which serves as a unified framework for several applications in structural and topology optimization.
