Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Optimality conditions for an interval-valued vector problem [PDF]
summary:The present article considers a nonsmooth interval-valued vector optimization problem with inequality constraints. We first figure out Fritz John and Karush-Kuhn-Tucker type necessary optimality conditions for the interval-valued problem designed

M-estimator, and D-optimality model construction using orthogonal forward regression [PDF]
This correspondence introduces a new orthogonal forward regression (OFR) model identification algorithm using D-optimality for model structure selection and is based on an M-estimators of parameter estimates.

Optimality conditions for discrete-time control problems [PDF]
We consider an optimal control problem governed by a system of nonlinear difference equations. We obtain the existence of the optimal control as well as first-order optimality conditions of Pontryagin type by using the Dubovitskii–Milyutin formalism ...

ON THE OPTIMAL CONTROL OF A PROBLEM OF ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION
This article is studied the optimal control of distributed parameter systems applied to an environmental pollution problem. The model consists of a differential equation partial parabolic modeling of a pollutant transport in a fluid.

Robust Optimality Conditions for a Class of Fractional Optimization Problems
In this paper, by considering the parametric technique, we study a class of fractional optimization problems involving data uncertainty in the objective functional.

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Sufficient optimality conditions in bilevel programming [PDF]
This paper is concerned with the derivation of first- and second-order sufficient optimality conditions for optimistic bilevel optimization problems involving smooth functions.

Bilevel Optimization by Conditional Bayesian Optimization
Bilevel optimization problems have two decision-makers: a leader and a follower (sometimes more than one of either, or both). The leader must solve a constrained optimization problem in which some decisions are made by the follower. These problems are much harder to solve than those with a single decision-maker, and efficient optimal algorithms are ...

Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.
