Dual PI3K/AKT and CDK4/6 inhibition reveals selective sensitivity in an SHH medulloblastoma stem cell model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Targeted therapy was evaluated in SHH medulloblastoma using neuroepithelial stem cell (NES) and tumor‐derived NES‐like (tNES) models in 2D monolayers and 3D spheroids. PI3K, AKT, and CDK4/6 inhibitors had minimal effects in NES but markedly reduced viability and growth and induced apoptosis in tNES cells, revealing distinct therapeutic vulnerabilities.

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Optimality Theory or Language in a Dodgeball Game

open access: yesRasprave Instituta za Hrvatski Jezik i Jezikoslovlje, 2014
The aim of this paper is to present Optimality theory (OT), one of the most prominent contemporary linguistic theories developed in the 1990s by two phonologists Alan Prince and Paul Smolensky (1991/1993, 2004).

An Iterative Strategy for Learning Metrical Stress in Optimality Theory [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
One of the major challenges of language acquisition is the fact that the auditory signal received by a child can underdetermine the structural description of the utterance.

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Optimality and duality in set-valued optimization utilizing limit sets

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2018
This paper deals with optimality conditions and duality theory for vector optimization involving non-convex set-valued maps. Firstly, under the assumption of nearly cone-subconvexlike property for set-valued maps, the necessary and sufficient optimality ...

Faithfulness and Reduplicative Identity [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
This paper proposes a revised view of faithfulness in Optimality Theory (Prince & Smolensky 1993), relating it to reduplicative identity (McCarthy & Prince 1993).

Differential expression of cancer‐related genes supports prediction of poor response to first‐line treatments in T‐ALL pediatric patients with high minimal residual disease

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the present work, we have identified a transcriptional signature based on the differential expression of six genes (BCL2&MAST4, HSH2D&LAT2, METRN&PITPNM2) that would facilitate the early detection of T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) patients prone to a poor treatment response and could be implemented at diagnosis, along with other risk ...
