Thirst and blood pressure regulation in a novel angiotensin II receptor type 1a knockout rat
Regulation of arterial blood pressure (ABP) is largely preserved in angiotensin II receptor 1a knock‐out (Agtr1a−/−) rats. However, deletion of Agtr1a attenuates thirst in response to AngII and hypotension but not intracellular dehydration.
