Thirst and blood pressure regulation in a novel angiotensin II receptor type 1a knockout rat

open access: yesPhysiological Reports, Volume 14, Issue 15, August 2026.
Regulation of arterial blood pressure (ABP) is largely preserved in angiotensin II receptor 1a knock‐out (Agtr1a−/−) rats. However, deletion of Agtr1a attenuates thirst in response to AngII and hypotension but not intracellular dehydration. Abstract Angiotensin II (AngII) plays a pivotal role in body fluid balance through AngII type 1 receptors (Agtr1)

Dual‐Laser Laser‐Induced Liquid Bead Ion Desorption Mass Spectrometry: A New Approach for Adjustable Softness and Higher Sensitivity

open access: yesChemPhysChem, Volume 27, Issue 14, 29 July 2026.
Native protein complexes often require gentle ionization to preserve weak interactions, yet higher ion yield typically goes hand in hand with increased in‐source dissociation. Our dual‐laser LILBID approach decouples ion production from dissociation by using two independently tunable pulses, enabling sample‐specific soft conditions and expanding access
