Illuminating the Future of Catecholamine Detection
Catecholamines such as dopamine and norepinephrine are key signaling molecules in our body. We discuss how fluorescent sensors (carbon nanotube based and genetically encoded) for these molecules in combination with novel imaging methods and kinetic data analysis enable new biological experiments.

Abstract Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) are neuroendocrine‐disrupting chemicals that produce adverse neurodevelopmental effects. PBDEs have been implicated as risk factors for autism spectrum disorder (ASD), which is characterized by abnormal psychosocial functioning and is commonly comorbid with cognitive deficits and sensory abnormalities ...

ABSTRACT The mouse sleep is mostly recorded with only epidural electrodes and divided simply into NREM and REM stages. With the help of distributed intracerebral triplet electrodes, we searched for possible new electrophysiological signatures to characterise more specific sleep substages within the timeframe of seconds to tens of minutes.

Physiological mechanisms and therapeutic targets in chronic cough
Abstract Cough is a vital defensive reflex that safeguards the airways; however, it can become maladaptive and pathological. Chronic cough (>8 weeks in duration) affects up to 10% of the global adult population and is associated with considerable health status impairment. The understanding of cough physiology remains limited.
