Integrated genomic and proteomic profiling reveals insights into chemoradiation resistance in cervical cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A comprehensive genomic and proteomic analysis of cervical cancer revealed STK11 and STX3 as a potential biomarkers of chemoradiation resistance. Our study demonstrated EGFR as a therapeutic target, paving the way for precision strategies to overcome treatment failure and the DNA repair pathway as a critical mechanism of resistance.

Observations of an Energetically Isolated Quiet Sun Transient: Evidence of Quasi-Steady Coronal Heating [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Increasing evidence for coronal heating contributions from cooler solar atmospheric layers, notably quiet Sun (QS) conditions, challenges standard solar atmospheric descriptions of bright transition region (TR) emission. As such, questions to the role of

Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.

A relation between semiempirical fracture analyses and R-curves [PDF]

open access: yes
The relations between several semiempirical fracture analyses (SEFA) and the R-curve concept of fracture mechanics are examined and the conditions for equivalence between a SEFA and an R-curve are derived. A hypothetical material is employed to study the

In vitro properties of patient serum predict clinical outcome after high dose rate brachytherapy of hepatocellular carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Following high dose rate brachytherapy (HDR‐BT) for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), patients were classified as responders and nonresponders. Post‐therapy serum induced increased BrdU incorporation and Cyclin E expression of Huh7 and HepG2 cells in nonresponders, but decreased levels in responders.

Pengantaraan Orang-orang Kudus

open access: yesLux et Sal
This article wants to explore the historical and doctrinal basis for the practice of praying through the intercession of saints, which is commonly found in the Catholic Church. For that purpose, it will study the historical context of its origin and its doctrinal basis originating from the documents of councils.

Estimating the R-curve from residual strength data [PDF]

open access: yes
A method is presented for estimating the crack-extension resistance curve (R-curve) from residual-strength (maximum load against original crack length) data for precracked fracture specimens.
