Targeting the KAT7/H3K14ac/RAC2 Axis Mediates OXPHOS to Promote Stemness Maintenance and Malignancy in Glioblastoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
SOX2 upregulates KAT7 in glioma stem cells, where KAT7 deposits H3K14 acetylation at the RAC2 promoter to activate RAC2 transcription. RAC2‐GTP subsequently promotes PAK1/2/3 phosphorylation, increasing tricarboxylic acid cycle flux and mitochondrial respiration to support glioblastoma malignancy.

Pediatric orbital cellulitis: Case report of an unusual etiology and pathogen

open access: yesEar, Nose & Throat Journal
Orbital cellulitis is an uncommon condition with risks to sight and life. As a complication of maxillofacial injuries, the literature suggests this is only possible with fractures or direct inoculation, and there are no reports to the contrary.

Treatment Tactics for Orbital Wall Fractures with Regard to Visual Function

open access: yes, 2023
Orbital fractures are one of the most common injuries of the midface, second only to injuries of the nasal bones. Fractures of the orbit make up 40% of all fractures of the facial skeleton.

Interleukin‐1α Mediates Pancreatic Fibroblast Activation, Regulates Immune Cell Recruitment and Fibrosis in Acute and Chronic Pancreatitis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
During pancreatitis, IL‐1α is released from necrotic acinar cells. In response to IL‐1α, pancreatic fibroblasts release chemokines and cytokines that regulate the recruitment of immune cells to the damaged organ. Furthermore, IL‐1α primes fibroblasts, resulting in increased tissue fibrosis during chronic pancreatitis.

Targeting the CRYAB/β‐Catenin Axis with an MMP‐9‐Responsive Hydrogel Disrupts CTC Clusters to Suppress Progression of Hepatocellular Carcinoma after Radiofrequency Ablation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The graphical abstract illustrates that sublethal thermal stress after iRFA upregulates the chaperone CRYAB in residual HCC cells, which stabilizes β‐catenin and drives a dual pathological program, including EMT and N2‐TAN polarization, thereby leading to heterotypic CTC cluster formation. The MMP‐9‐responsive hydrogel (XB@Gel) delivers XAV‐939 and BMS‐

Supramolecular Zinc–Polyphenol Coordination Assemblies Mitigate Colonic Inflammation by Regulating Mucosal Barrier and Microbiome

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A carrier‐free zinc‐coordinated polyphenol nanoplatform (ZnCA NPs) is designed as an “all‐in‐one” therapeutic strategy for intestinal inflammation. The ZnCA NPs exhibit enhanced colonic accumulation and broad‐spectrum reactive oxygen and nitrogen species scavenging.

Orbital Structure Involvement in Midface Fractures Impacting Ocular Injury at a Tertiary Hospital in Eastern Indonesia

open access: yesBiomolecular and Health Science Journal
Introduction: The midface is a complex anatomical area consisting of several areas. Although various factors protect the eye from trauma, such as orbital rim, blink reflex, elasticity of ocular structures, and protective eye movements by hands and head ...

Sequential Regulation of Neurovascular Bone Regeneration in Large Bone Defects Using Black Phosphorus‐Europium Nanosheet Integrated TPMS Biomimetic Scaffold with Photo‐Controlled Ion Release

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
TPBE scaffolds, in conjunction with mild photothermal effects, effectively activate the PI3K/Akt signaling cascade, thereby promoting early neuronal differentiation and neurite growth. Short‐term (12 W) in vivo implantation studies revealed no significant pathological damage to major organs, providing preliminary evidence of the material's excellent ...

Upadacitinib Restrains the Pathogenic Fitness of CD4+ T Cells and Aberrant B Cell Programming in Optic Neuritis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Single‐cell profiling and functional perturbation reveal coordinated JAK1‐pSTAT3 downstream programs in optic neuritis, including MCL1‐dependent fitness of pathogenic CD4+ Tem cells and glycolysis‐linked, cholesterol‐sensitive B‐cell responses associated with RORA. Upadacitinib disrupts this reciprocal T‐B‐cell circuit and alleviates neuroinflammation,
