On the Convergence of Ordered Sets of Projections [PDF]
E. R. Lorch has shown [3, p. 223 ] that a uniformly bounded, naturally ordered sequence of projections in a reflexive Banach space converges to its supremum in the strong topology of operators. In this note it is shown that a uniformly bounded, naturally ordered set of projections in a Banach space X having a weak x-cluster point for each x CX ...

This paper proposes two projector‐based Hopfield neural network (HNN) estimators for online, constrained parameter estimation under time‐varying data, additive disturbances, and slowly drifting physical parameters. The first is a constraint‐aware HNN that enforces linear equalities and inequalities (via slack neurons) and continuously tracks the ...

Current Tracking Adaptive Control of Brushless DC Motors
In this paper, the current tracking for Brushless Direct Current motors is approached considering uncertainty in the parameters of the motor's model. An adaptive control scheme to compensate electrical parameters uncertainty is proposed without requiring any knowledge of the mechanical parameters.

This work introduces an adaptive human pilot model that captures pilot time‐delay effects in adaptive control systems. The model enables the prediction of pilot–controller interactions, facilitating safer integration and improved design of adaptive controllers for piloted applications.

A Robust Adaptive One‐Sample‐Ahead Preview Super‐Twisting Sliding Mode Controller
Block Diagram of the Robust Adaptive One‐Sample‐Ahead Preview Super‐Twisting Sliding Mode Controller. ABSTRACT This article introduces a discrete‐time robust adaptive one‐sample‐ahead preview super‐twisting sliding mode controller. A stability analysis of the controller by Lyapunov criteria is developed to demonstrate its robustness in handling both ...

This study investigates laser shock peening for enhancing fatigue performance of riveted aerospace aluminum joints. A comparative approach with cold expansion combines fatigue testing and synchrotron X‐ray methods. Integrating mechanical testing with residual stress and strain characterization provides insights into how different treatments affect the ...

We study an iterative differential-difference method for solving nonlinear least squares problems, which uses, instead of the Jacobian, the sum of derivative of differentiable parts of operator and divided difference of nondifferentiable parts. Moreover,

A generalization of order convergence
Let $E$ be a sublattice of a vector lattice $F$. $\left( x_ \right)\subseteq E$ is said to be $ F $-order convergent to a vector $ x $ (in symbols $ x_ \xrightarrow{Fo} x $), whenever there exists another net $ \left(y_ \right) $ in $F $ with the some index set satisfying $ y_ \downarrow 0 $ in $F$ and $ | x_ - x | \leq y_ $ for all indexes $ $.

Two-Scale Convergence of First-Order Operators
Nguetseng's notion of it two-scale convergence and some of its main properties are first shortly reviewed. The (weak) two-scale limit of the gradient of bounded sequences of W^{1,p}(\mathbb R^N) is then ...
