Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

The simplified Hirota’s method for studying three extended higher-order KdV-type equations

open access: yesJournal of Ocean Engineering and Science, 2016
In this work we study three extended higher-order KdV-type equations. The Lax-type equation, the Sawada–Kotera-type equation and the CDG-type equation are derived from the extended KdV equation.

The planar cell polarity protein Vangl2 interacts with the PDZ‐domains of Scribble but not with a unique PDZ‐like domain in Inturned

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

On the order equivalence relation of binary association measures

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science, 2015
Over a century of research has resulted in a set of more than a hundred binary association measures. Many of them share similar properties. An overview of binary association measures is presented, focused on their order equivalences. Association measures

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Characterization of fuzzy order relation by fuzzy cone [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
summary:In the present paper, fuzzy order relations on a real vector space are characterized by fuzzy cones. It is well-known that there is one-to-one correspondence between order relations, that a real vector space with the order relation is an ordered ...

Optimality theory of an unconstrained interval optimization problem in parametric form: Its application in inventory control

open access: yesResults in Control and Optimization, 2022
The aim of this work is to establish the optimality conditions of an unconstrained interval optimization problem in parametric form. For this purpose, a new definition of interval order relation is proposed.
