We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Stabilization of three-dimensional charge order in YBa2Cu3O6+x via epitaxial growth
In many cuprates the high temperature superconducting state competes with a charge ordered phase that has been difficult to investigate in detail. Here the authors show three-dimensional charge order can be stabilized in YBCO films and studied without ...

Raman‐based label‐free microscopic analysis of the pancreas in living zebrafish larvae
Forward stimulated Raman scattering (F‐SRS) and epi coherent anti‐Stokes Raman scattering (E‐CARS) allow label‐free discrimination of distinct subcellular structures in the pancreas of living zebrafish larvae. Given the straightforward applicability, we anticipate broad implementation of Raman microscopy in other organs and across various biomedical ...

Tailoring symmetry groups using external alternate fields
Macroscopic systems with continuous symmetries subjected to oscillatory fields have phases and transitions that are qualitatively different from their equilibrium ones.

Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Ordered magnetic fields around radio galaxies: evidence for interaction with the environment
We present detailed imaging of Faraday rotation and depolarization for the radio galaxies 0206+35, 3C 270, 3C 353 and M 84, based on Very Large Array observations at multiple frequencies in the range 1365 to 8440 MHz.

In this study, we developed a deep learning method for mitotic figure counting in H&E‐stained whole‐slide images and evaluated its prognostic impact in 13 external validation cohorts from seven different cancer types. Patients with more mitotic figures per mm2 had significantly worse patient outcome in all the studied cancer types except colorectal ...

Time-integrated Polarization of Structured Jets in Gamma-Ray Burst Prompt Emission
The structure of gamma-ray burst (GRB) jets remains one of the most significant open questions in high-energy astrophysics. Observations of events like GRB 170817A, associated with gravitational waves, and the exceptionally bright GRB 221009A suggest ...
