We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.

Functional Determinants for Radially Separable Partial Differential Operators
Functional determinants of differential operators play a prominent role in many fields of theoretical and mathematical physics, ranging from condensed matter physics, to atomic, molecular and particle physics.

Solution of the inverse spectral problem for differential operators on a finite interval with complex weights [PDF]
Non-self-adjoint second-order ordinary differential operators on a finite interval with complex weights are studied. Properties of spectral characteristics are established, and the inverse problem of recovering operators from their spectral ...

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

One says that a pair (P,Q) of ordinary differential operators specify a quantum curve if [P,Q]=const. If a pair of difference operators (K,L) obey the relation KL=const LK we say that they specify a discrete quantum curve. This terminology is prompted by

Dissipative Ordinary Differential Operators of Even Order [PDF]
The aim of this paper is to study the Cauchy problem for the system (1.1). We shall make the following three assumptions: (1.2) B=B*, C=-C*, D=-D*,..., T=-T*; (1.3) Z-=Bx+A+A* 1 in L2(a, b; F) defined by 1 =a( (Fy, y) dx and a norm IYi= [KY, Y>i]112, L2(a, b; F) becomes a Hilbert space which we shall sometimes denote by H1.

Meta‐transcriptome analysis identified FGF19 as a peptide enteroendocrine hormone associated with colorectal cancer prognosis. In vivo xenograft models showed release of FGF19 into the blood at levels that correlated with tumor volumes. Tumoral‐FGF19 altered murine liver metabolism through FGFR4, thereby reducing bile acid synthesis and increasing ...

Characterization of domains of symmetric and self-adjoint ordinary differential operators
We characterize the two point boundary conditions which determine symmetric ordinary differential operators of any order, even or odd, with complex coefficients and arbitrary deficiency index, in a Hilbert space. The self-adjoint characterizations ...

Fast Computation of Common Left Multiples of Linear Ordinary Differential Operators
We study tight bounds and fast algorithms for LCLMs of several linear differential operators with polynomial coefficients. We analyze the arithmetic complexity of existing algorithms for LCLMs, as well as the size of their outputs.

Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...
