Monomiality Principle and Eigenfunctions of Differential Operators

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2011
We apply the so-called monomiality principle in order to construct eigenfunctions for a wide set of ordinary differential operators, relevant to special functions and polynomials, including Bessel functions and generalized Gould-Hopper polynomials.

Integrable ODEs on Associative Algebras

open access: yes, 1999
In this paper we give definitions of basic concepts such as symmetries, first integrals, Hamiltonian and recursion operators suitable for ordinary differential equations on associative algebras, and in particular for matrix differential equations.

Recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming and confer resistance to targeted therapies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.

Adjoint and self-adjoint differential operators on graphs

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 1998
A differential operator on a directed graph with weighted edges is characterized as a system of ordinary differential operators. A class of local operators is introduced to clarify which operators should be considered as defined on the graph.

The Method of Coupled Fixed Points and Coupled Quasisolutions When Working with ODE’s with Arguments of Bounded Variation

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2013
The aim of this paper is to show the use of the coupled quasisolutions method as a useful technique when dealing with ordinary differential equations with functional arguments of bounded variation.

Bounds on the non-real spectrum of differential operators with indefinite weights [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Ordinary and partial differential operators with an indefinite weight function can be viewed as bounded perturbations of non-negative operators in Krein spaces.

Reduction Operators of Linear Second-Order Parabolic Equations

open access: yes, 2008
The reduction operators, i.e., the operators of nonclassical (conditional) symmetry, of (1+1)-dimensional second order linear parabolic partial differential equations and all the possible reductions of these equations to ordinary differential ones are ...

Completely Continuous Inverses of Ordinary Differential Operators [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1969
Many important properties, such as the absence of essential spectrum, follow when an ordinary differential operator comes from a differential expression such that the minimal operator has completely continuous inverse. This always happens in the case of a compact interval. On infinite intervals it happens much less frequently, however.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Uniform Convergence of the Spectral Expansion for a Differential Operator with Periodic Matrix Coefficients

open access: yesBoundary Value Problems, 2008
We obtain asymptotic formulas for eigenvalues and eigenfunctions of the operator generated by a system of ordinary differential equations with summable coefficients and the quasiperiodic boundary conditions.
