Organs on chips: fundamentals, bioengineering and applications
Journal of Artificial OrgansHuman body constitutes unique biological system containing specific fluid mechanics and biomechanics. Traditional cell culture techniques of 2D and 3D do not recapitulate these specific natures of the human system. In addition, they lack the spatiotemporal conditions of representing the cells.
