Coordination Bridges in Confined‐Water Domains Enable Partially Desolvated Zn2+ Transport in Aqueous Zinc‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A multifunctional polymer layer with amide and imidazolium groups simultaneously suppresses dendrite growth and hydrogen evolution in Zn‐ion batteries. By providing Zn2+ binding sites and forming a confined‐water domain that acts as a coordination bridge, it boosts single‐ion conductivity and stability, enabling 4000 stable cycles in Zn‐I2 full cells ...

Near‐Infrared Imaging of H2O2 in Plants With Nanosensors Under Environmentally Changing Conditions

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This paper reports a ratiometric nanosensor enabling robust, multivariate detection of stress signals (H2O2) in plants, with high resistance to light fluctuations and mechanical disturbances. Single‐walled carbon nanotubes serve as the sensor, Egyptian Blue nanosheets serve as a stable reference, and plant autofluorescence serves as a label‐free ...

Influence of the extracellular pH on the transport of para-aminohippurate via organic anion transporter 1

open access: yes, 2015
Organic anion transporter 1 (OAT1) is one of the transporters responsible for renal elimination of organic anions. In the present study, the influence of extracellular pH on the transport-activity of OAT1 was examined using OAT1-transfected HEK 293 cells

Blending With Insulating Polymers Enables Stable Anti‐Ambipolar Characteristics in n‐Type Organic Mixed‐Conductors for Heterogeneous Spiking Neurons

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A polymer blend of n‐type OMIEC P(gNDI‐gT2) with insulating PMMA yields mechanically stabilized, anti‐ambipolar organic electrochemical transistors (OECTs) with tunable ionic‐electronic transport. This blending allows low‐power, fast‐spiking heterogeneous Hodgkin–Huxley neurons, enabling biomimetic frequency deconvolution and reservoir computing, which

Semithiobambus[6]uril is a transmembrane anion transporter

open access: yes, 2017
Bambus[6]uril analogs are excellent anion binders but only the sulfur analog is also an effective anion transporter capable of polarizing lipid membranes through selective anion uniport.

Anchored Fluoro‐Shielded Solvation for Lithium Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Anchored fluoro‐shielded solvation reconstructs PVDF‐based polymer electrolytes by coupling polyanionic Li+‐solvate sites with fluorinated shielding segments. This design organizes anion‐rich solvation networks, strengthens selective Li+ transport, and generates LiF‐rich solid electrolyte interphase, enabling high conductivity, wide oxidative tolerance,

Defect‐Driven Charge Separation in Ba‐Doped SrTiO3: Correlating Photoelectrochemical Performance With Dye‐Selective Photocatalysis

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Ba‐doped SrTiO3 perovskites establish a direct correlation between photoelectrochemical activity and photocatalytic performance. Optimized Ba0.5Sr0.5TiO3 exhibits enhanced charge separation, photocurrent generation, and visible‐light‐driven dye degradation through defect‐induced oxygen vacancies and lattice distortion.
