Antioxidant assays - consistent findings from FRAP and ORAC reveal a negative impact of organic cultivation on antioxidant potential in spinach but not watercress or rocket leaves [PDF]
Watercress (Rorippa nasturtium-aquaticum), wild rocket (Diplotaxis tenuifolia), and spinach (Spinacia oleracea) are commercial crops reported to have high concentrations of antioxidants, possibly contributing to disease prevention following human ...

Volatile aldehydes in libraries and archives [PDF]
Volatile aldehydes are produced during degradation of paper-based materials. This may result in their accumulation in archival and library repositories. However, no systematic study has been performed so far.

Mikro-Determination of Oxygen in Organic Compounds
There are many difficulties in the direct determination of oxygen by the method of UNTERZAUCHER. In this modification, the CO produced by the high temperature-carbon was oxidized with CuO (oxidation-furnace shown in Fig. 1. E) and the CO2 was determined gravimetrically. The temperature of the oxidation furnace was fixed at 235° (Fig. 4).

Temperature dependence of singlet oxygen generation by different photosensitizers [PDF]
The temperature dependences of the lifetimes and the efficiency of singlet oxygen generation for a set of compounds (porphyrins, metalloporphyrins, porphycene, terrylene etc.) has been measured and characterized. Based on the character of the temperature

Atmospheric organic matter in clouds: exact masses and molecular formula identification using ultrahigh-resolution FT-ICR mass spectrometry [PDF]
Clouds alter the composition of atmospheric aerosol by acting as a medium for interactions between gas- and particulate-phase substances. To determine the cloud water atmospheric organic matter (AOM) composition and study the cloud processing of aerosols,
