Recent Innovations of Organo-fluorine Synthesis and Pharmacokinetics

Current Organic Chemistry, 2021
The fluorinated compounds have significance in medicinal chemistry and pharmaceutical research. The introduction of fluorine atom in the heterocyclic compounds increases biological activity by favourable physiochemical interactions. The combination of heterocycles with fluorine substituents has a wide range of applications in the study of various ...

Safety improvement of lithium ion batteries by organo-fluorine compounds

Journal of Fluorine Chemistry, 2011
Abstract Thermal stability, electrochemical oxidation stability and charge/discharge characteristics of natural graphite powder were investigated by mixing of five fluoro-carbonates with 1 mol/L LiClO 4 –EC/DEC/PC (1:1:1 vol.). DSC study revealed that thermal stability of the electrolyte solution was improved by mixing of fluoro-carbonates by 10.0–33.

Investigation into antimony pentafluoride-based catalyst in preparing organo-fluorine compounds

Journal of Molecular Catalysis A, 2005
Abstract Antimony pentafluoride (SbF 5 )/porous metal fluorides (PMF) were prepared by impregnating PMF with SbCl 5 , and then fluorinating with anhydrous hydrogen fluoride (AHF). It demonstrates excellent activity in vapor-phase catalytic fluorination and overcomes such drawbacks as hygroscopicity, corrosion and toxicity that appear while SbF 5 was

Electrochemical Behavior of Nonflammable Organo-Fluorine Compounds for Lithium Ion Batteries

Journal of the Electrochemical Society, 2009
The electrochemical behavior of organo-fluorine compounds with antioxidation ability has been investigated. Oxidation currents of fluorine-compound-containing ethylene carbonate (EC)/diethyl carbonate (DEC) solutions were much smaller than those of EC/ DEC and EC/DEC/propylene carbonate (PC) at potentials higher than 6 V vs Li/Li + .

Thermal and oxidation stability of organo-fluorine compound-mixed electrolyte solutions for lithium ion batteries

Journal of Power Sources, 2013
Abstract Thermal and oxidation stability of fluorine compound-mixed electrolyte solutions have been investigated. Charge/discharge behavior of natural graphite electrode has been also examined in the same electrolyte solutions. Fluorine compounds demonstrate much lower reactivity with metallic Li than ethylene carbonate/dimethyl carbonate.

Effect of organo-fluorine compounds on the thermal stability and electrochemical properties of electrolyte solutions for lithium ion batteries

Journal of Power Sources, 2013
Abstract Thermal stability and electrochemical behavior of fluorine compound-mixed electrolyte solutions have been investigated using 1 molL−1 LiClO4-EC/DEC/PC, 1 molL−1 LiPF6-EC/DMC and 1 molL−1 LiPF6-EC/EMC/PC. DSC study indicates that no exothermic reaction occurs between metallic Li and fluoro-ethers while EC/DMC mixture and fluoro-carbonate ...

Organo-Fluorine Compounds

Journal of Fluorine Chemistry, 2000
Organo-fluorine compounds have become increasingly important in the last 50 years, as synthetic routes to them have been developed; very few occur naturally. Their chemical behavior covers the entire range from inertness to high reactivity and their physical properties show unique features.

Current approaches to the electrochemical synthesis of organo-fluorine compounds

Journal of Applied Electrochemistry, 2004
Recent trends in the synthesis of organo-fluorine compounds using the conventional selective electrochemical fluorination (SEF) route as well as other novel synthetic approaches are presented. In the conventional SEF route, fluorinations of the active methylene group in the side chain as well as unsaturated alkenes have been achieved.
