Progress in the preparation of organo-fluorine compounds using HF or HF–base molten salts

Journal of Fluorine Chemistry, 2000
Abstract Hydrogen fluoride (HF) combined with organic bases (HF-base molten salts) has been successfully developed as a novel methodology for the fluorination of organic compounds, in particular, with regards to the selective hydrofluorination, halogen-exchange fluorination, deaminative fluorination of aminoarenes, and electrochemical oxidative ...

Synthesis of Organo-fluorine Compounds by Metal Complex-mediated and -Catalyzed Transformations of Fluoro-alkenes and Fluoro-arenes

2019
The prevalence of fluorine in natural products is scarce. There are but a handful of compounds that have been discovered to date. This could be largely attributable to the occurrence of fluorine in nature as fluoride (F-). — One might recognize such nomenclature from the ingredients list on a toothpaste tube — In fact, naturally occurring fluoride is ...

Studies in potential organo-fluorine antibacterial agents. Part 1: Synthesis and antibacterial activity of some fluorinated arylsulfonylthiosemicarbazides and Arylsulfonylhydrazones.

Die Pharmazie, 1978
A series of fluorinated arylsulfonylthiosemicarbazides and arylsulfonylhydrazones has been synthesized. A representative number of the synthesized compounds have been screened for their antibacterial activity but none of the compounds showed significant activity.
