Subtle but significant differences between the heterochiral and homochiral salts during the prenucleation stage, revealed by molecular simulations, are related to the enantiomeric separation of a β‐aminoketone through the precipitation of its corresponding diastereomeric salts. ABSTRACT The classical diastereomeric salt resolution approach was employed

Ring‐opening polymerization of ε‐caprolactone was performed at 100°C under solvent‐free conditions using catalysts of various environmentally benign organic acids. The reaction rate was correlated with the pKa of the catalysts, and 1H NMR confirmed initiator‐derived chain ends.

Chiral Sodium Glycerophosphate Catalyst for Enantioselective Michael Reactions of Chalcones
A chiral sodium glycerophosphate is successfully exploited as a catalyst in the Michael addition of methyl malonate to a number of chalcones. The reactions supplied the target adducts in satisfactory yields and good enantiomeric excesses.

Metal‐Free Synthesis of 1,3‐Divinylimidazolidin‐2‐One
The versatile building block 1,3‐divinylimidazolidin‐2‐one (DVI) was synthesized by a new route without the use of metal catalysts or gaseous acetylene, which was required according to previous methods. The synthesis utilizes commercially available inexpensive chemicals and enables the recycling of side products, allowing an economic and sustainable ...

Supported chiral proline and pyrrolidine organocatalysts for enantioselective C-C bond formation reactions. [PDF]
This work has been aimed to the study of insoluble polymer-bound (IPB) chiral organocatalysts to be used under continuous flow or batch conditions for enantioselective transformations.

Mechanical chirality: a chiral catalyst with a ring to it
A chiral [2]rotaxane in which the asymmetry is derived from the way in which the two components are mechanically interlocked — rather than being encoded in the covalent connectivity of the components themselves — has been shown to act as an ...
