Gold(I)‐Catalyzed C(sp3)–C(sp) Cross‐Coupling: Access to Alkynylated Tetrahydrofuran Derivatives
An Au(I)‐catalyzed C(sp3)–C(sp) cross‐coupling, unsuccessful under photosensitized conditions for vinylgold(I) complexes, is achieved using MeDalPhosAuCl under thermal conditions, giving alkynylated tetrahydrofuran derivatives. The reaction proceeds via an Au(III) intermediate formed by oxidative addition of an alkynyl iodide.

Silyl Rearrangements in Gold‐Catalyzed Transformations
The synergy between the exceptional ability of gold catalysts to activate unsaturated substrates and the inherent tendency of organosilicon reagents to undergo silyl‐group rearrangements has unlocked a range of novel transformations, enabling access to otherwise challenging molecular architectures.

Proteomic analysis of A2780/S ovarian cancer cell response to the cytotoxic organogold(III) compound Aubipyc [PDF]
Aubipyc is an organogold(III) compound endowed with encouraging anti-proliferative properties in vitro that is being evaluated pre-clinically as a prospective anticancer agent. A classical proteomic approach is exploited here to elucidate the mechanisms of its biological actions in A2780 human ovarian cancer cells.

Rotational dynamics within chiral NHC–Au(I) molecular crystals are shown to drive symmetry change from C2 to D2‐like arrangements. Solid‐state 2H NMR and computational studies reveal that internal motion modulates molecular symmetry, thereby affecting chiroptical properties such as temperature‐dependent emission and glum.

The successful clinical use of metal‐based anticancer agents depends heavily on a detailed understanding of their absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion, and toxicology (ADMET) profiles. This review evaluates the ADMET properties of anticancer complexes involving platinum, palladium, gold, ruthenium, copper, and zinc.

A subtle hydrogen‐bonding lock enables the unequivocal structural differentiation between fluoride and hydroxide in the unusual couple of homologous organogold(III) complexes [PPh4][(CF3)3AuF] and [PPh4][(CF3)3Au(OH)] (see adjacent figure). The homologous fluoride and hydroxide complexes of gold(III) [PPh4][(CF3)3AuX] [X = F (1), OH (2)] have been ...

Metal‐dithiocarbamato glycoconjugates based on gold(III), gold(I)‐phosphino, and gold(I)‐carbene scaffolds are here investigated as potential anticancer agents. Contrary to expectations, they induce cell death by acting at the extracellular level rather than targeting overexpressed glucose transporters.

Expanding the Chemical Space of Allyl Palladates with Anticancer Properties
Novel allyl palladates with diverse azolium ligands exhibit strong cytotoxicity against cancer cells, with some surpassing cisplatin. Compounds with thioether or selenoether groups show the best selectivity, making them promising candidates for further study. Allyl palladates are emerging as promising anticancer agents due to their unique mechanisms of

Abstract The homogeneously catalyzed cycloisomerization reaction of propargylic amides was tested as benchmark reaction for two homologous series of Au(I) and Au(III) complexes with NHC ligands. This reaction is known to afford either aromatic oxazoles or dihydrooxazoles, depending on the oxidation state of the applied gold catalysts. For this purpose,
