Genome-Wide Gene Expression Analysis in Response to Organophosphorus Pesticide Chlorpyrifos and Diazion in C.Elegans

open access: yes, 2010
pesticides (OPs) were originally designed to affect the nervous system by inhibiting the enzyme acetylcholinesterase, an important regulator of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine.

Organophosphorus Chemistry 2018

open access: yes, 2020
Organophosphorus chemistry is an important discipline within organic chemistry. Phosphorus compounds, such as phosphines, trialkyl phosphites, phosphine oxides (chalcogenides), phosphonates, phosphinates and >P(O)H species, etc., may be important ...

Zebrafish models for human acute organophosphorus poisoning [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Terrorist use of organophosphorus-based nerve agents and toxic industrial chemicals against civilian populations constitutes a real threat, as demonstrated by the terrorist attacks in Japan in the 1990 s or, even more recently, in the Syrian civil war ...

Conversion of triphenylphosphine oxide to organophosphorus via selective cleavage of C-P, O-P, and C-H bonds with sodium

open access: yesCommunications Chemistry, 2020
For over half a century, thousands of tons of triphenylphosphine oxide Ph3P(O) have been produced every year from the chemical industries as a useless chemical waste.

Vitamin B6 prevents isocarbophos-induced vascular dementia in rats through N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor signaling

open access: yesClinical and Experimental Hypertension, 2018
Background: We have previously reported that the long-term exposure of organophosphorus induces vascular dementia (VD) in rats. As a coenzyme, vitamin B6 is mainly involved in the regulation of metabolisms. Whether vitamin B6 improves VD remains unknown.

Experimental determination of pesticide processing factor during extraction of maize germ oil

open access: yesOilseeds and fats, crops and lipids, 2023
As there is a lack of regulations on pesticide levels in crude oils, this study aimed to evaluate transfer factors for extrapolating concentration limits established for maize kernels to the crude oils extracted from their germs.

Monosubstituted N‐Arylhydroxylamine Chemistry: Integrating Contemporary Synthetic Approaches for the Efficient Construction of Diverse Heterocyclic Scaffolds

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Monosubstituted N‐arylhydroxylamines represent a unique subclass of hydroxylamines that act as pivotal intermediates in redox transformations and as versatile platforms for further synthetic transformations. They serve as key building blocks in the synthesis of architecturally complex heterocycles and other valuable organic compounds.

Synthesis of chiral N-phosphoryl aziridines through enantioselective aziridination of alkenes with phosphoryl azide via Co(II)-based metalloradical catalysis

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2014
The Co(II) complex of a new D2-symmetric chiral porphyrin 3,5-DiMes-QingPhyrin, [Co(P6)], can catalyze asymmetric aziridination of alkenes with bis(2,2,2-trichloroethyl)phosphoryl azide (TcepN3) as a nitrene source.

Photolytic Hydrophosphination: Insights Into Catalyzed and Uncatalyzed Processes

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Catalyst‐free photolytic hydrophosphination is demonstrated for vinyl arenes and activated alkenes in polar protic (alcohol) solvents. These reactions appear to be closed‐shell, affirming that even ambient light can impact a reaction—a potentially broad influence on even mundane reactions.
