Structural chemistry of organotin(IV) complexes

Journal of the Iranian Chemical Society, 2008
The amazing structural diversity in organotin compounds is discussed in the systems containing -O and -S donor ligands. It is demonstrated that there exist a fascinating range of structural diversity for organotin(IV) complexes, including differences in coordination number and molecular geometry.

New mono-organotin (IV) dithiocarbamate complexes

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2014
Eighteen new mono-organotin dithiocarbamate compounds derived each nine from methyltin(IV) and phenyltin(IV) reacted using in-situ method with various type of N-dialkylamine together with carbon disulphide with the ratio of 1:3:3. Elemental and gravimetric analysis showed that the general formula of these compounds were RSnCl[S2CNR′R″]2 (R= Ph, CH3, R′

Biologically active organotin(IV) schiff base complexes

Journal of the Iranian Chemical Society, 2010
Organotin(IV) complexes with the general formulae R3ML [R: alkyl (Et, Ph and Bz), M: Sn and L: 1,3-bis(2hydroxybenzylidene)thiourea were synthesized. The newly synthesized schiff base and its complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, melting point, molecular weight determination, IR and NMR [ 1 H, 13 C and 119 Sn] spectral methods.

Recent Advancements in Organotin(IV) Complexes as Potent Cytotoxic Agents

Anti-Cancer Agents in Medicinal Chemistry, 2023
Background:Cancer cases have escalated by approximately 12% since1900 and incidence rate has increased faster for females than males. Cisplatin’s discovery in 1965 paved the way for the metal-based compounds as cancer therapeutics. Unfortunately, cisplatin and other platinum-based medicines causes severe side effects.

Equilibrium studies of organotin(IV) complexes with vitamin B6

Talanta, 1997
The complex-formation equilibria of dimethyltin(IV), trimethyltin(IV) and tributyltin(IV) with pyridoxamine were investigated in dioxane-water mixtures and at different temperatures using a potentiometric technique. The stepwise formation constants of the complexes formed in solution were calculated using the non-linear least-square program MINIQUAD-75.
